I have not done one of these yet and I am lost how to even start this thing? Never even seen this event go live. Can anyone give me the tldr
The timer used to be on wowhead, might still be
Buuut basically you stand near the soup pot in the Tuskarr village (grab the quest off the little guy, it only shows up after you get your first task usually)
Do what he says, and wait 15 minutes, you can do any tasks he tells you to do as well for more rep and finishing the other quest, otherwise do 1 and honestly just go afk cuz you participated
Next one starts in 2 hours and 10 minutes (as of the time of this post). Be there a few minutes early. Especially if you’re on a moderate population server.
How long is the rotation? Im going to miss that one, dads bday dinner
It is like 3-4 hours. There is a timer on the front-page of Wowhead.com.
If you’re in Azure Span 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start you’ll get a notification that the feast is about to start.
Community Soup Event is every 3.5 hours from start time.
Takes 15 minutes.
Timer is on WoWHead front page, it is accurate.
There is a weekly quest you can get from an NPC next to Soup Pot, this quest becomes available AFTER Soup has started. It requires you to complete 5 tasks given to you.
Eat the soup after Boss is defeated for a buff.
You can do the soup as many times in a day that you like, currently. Rep gained varies by tasks completed.
Map shows and icon when it’s close to starting.
I have a Weakaura to track when the Feast and Dragon Keep events start, although can I just say that I’m not a big fan of the way that people are doing Weakauras for this kind of stuff more and more instead of full addons? It’s useful, I just like to have a thing that I can update with the rest of my addons.
The instructions will tell you to stand near the pot and wait for Big Kinook to give you orders. And then he’ll start calling out a bunch of stuff, tenderizing meat in the pot, kicking in fish, stomping crabs. There will also be a child Tuskarr, Pleequi, next to the pot who has a weekly quest for you to help in five ways. His quest populates AFTER the event starts if you haven’t done it yet that week. There are usually a million people on top of him spamming abilities, he can be hard to find.
Most of the orders that Big Kinook calls out are general work orders that go towards making the soup better quality, but aren’t YOUR work orders. Keep an eye on your quest tracker and eventually it will change to an order for YOU specifically. It might be a normal thing like fighting a fish head, or he might want you to go out into the village and fish up a specific kind of fish, or buy something from a vendor and bring it back. ONLY THOSE THINGS count as orders towards your personal 0/5 things.
It can take a while for him to decide to give you a task. If you don’t finish 5 tasks in one 15-minute event you can pick up more tasks in another event. It’s very RNG, I haven’t personally had a time where I wasn’t given at least five orders but I’ve heard that some people have.
Then at the end, make sure you at least get tagged in on the last boss Bisquius. Bisquius gives you diminishing loot each time you kill him, but the weekly quest from Pleequi gives you an epic quality once-a-week lootable soup item with more gear and rep and stuff in it.
dont know if this has been fixed or not, but i have tried this with four dif toons, multiple times now, and have a combined total of 1 task completed! the crap like this ( and there is alot) is making me question my decision to buy this xpac!!!
it goes live every 3.5 hours and there is a timer on wowhead.com main page.
you stand by the big pot and wait for a command to be issued to you.
you dont get many commands, maybe 3-7 total so most of the time i hang around or fish while the event is going on.
show up at right time and follow instructions and try not to get lost in the mess
WoWhead has a feast timer on front page. In general if you don’t know how to do a quest, read the comments on the quest’s wowhead page. Usually the top updooted post will be a comprehensive explanation. Very few times have I ever gone to a quest’s wowhead entry and not come away knowing how to do that quest. Teach an elf to fish, and whatnot.
I use the community feast Weak Aura
Yes chief!
