For me picking a main was a bit of a roleplaying. We first started playing WoW as a kind of DnD campaign after the story of Warcraft III, and our classes and specs stuck to us and seeped into IRL in-jokes that fused them with our personalities a bit. To this day, when conversation comes to WoW, I am a paladin to my brother, and he’s a warrior to me. Sometimes he would complain about his hard job, and I would joke that it’s warrior’s way to be slowed down and CCd by life, and we would laugh.
