I wish my favorite thematic existed in WoW. I love spellblades, inventor types, or mages with just overwhelmingly strong spells.
Sadly, WoW is allergic to spellblades despite being based largely on D&D, no indication of an artificer/tinker type, and the closest to big boi spells is destro lock and they don’t even hit that hard – more like chip damage. Same with fire mage, you’d think a 3 second cast time spell or dropping a literal meteor on something would do damage, but it’s all tied up into ignite.
