Pretty much just need it for the two crafter passives.
How? You still need to craft. It just removes the need to relog across multiple characters.

if all you need is one character to craft there is no purpose to the 2 craft limit. plus professions are intended as a sort of gold sink.
When they changed crafting by breaking it up for each expansion that was when I quit crafting. But it’s not like I was ever too into it to begin with. I only crafted because it was of benefit to raiding back in the era when raiding was all I cared about.
But to answer your question needing to buy wow tokens to utilize the AH to powerlevel your crafting per each expansion is probably a money maker for Blizzard.
crafted gear should be BoE.
make it, put it on the AH…
I’d be fine with that
Let’s hope TWW doesn’t bleed players (love what you did w the name, btw)

What “craft casually” means actually?
So, buy token and buy full set of BiS 486 gear on AH in 5 minutes and win?
Most people don’t play 8-16 hour stretches, and an in-game boost cost less than a tokens worth of gold (As much as I don’t condone it because there’s obv too much RMT/spam going on there that you can’t know if the one boosting you does or doesn’t.)
Not true at all. Go start JC right now, in few hours you can craft rings and necks in max quality.
You cannot craft max quality rings and necks within a few hours of learning jewelcrafting if you are a person arriving late to this expansion. That is an absolute falsehood.
I do not know who is responsible for the current state of things, but they should be walked right off the property. lol
When they made damned near every piece BoP, it killed any market.
There is no market, only services. You literally hire/contract what you want made. No more open market to see what the market bears.
I do engineering. (Well, that was my intent for crafting.) There has been 0 public orders for engineering for the last 2 weeks. And I’ve never even heard of any engineer being privately hired. I know my profession can’t be the only one like this. Surely there has to be a better way, take what works now, and lift some restrictions. And here is a crazy idea… You want professions hot as hell to where it’s very valued? Take a lesson from some other successful MMORPGs, make the crafted stuff comparable with the end game stuff. Make it complicated for the recipe, but make it DESIRED. You’ll see everyone happily crafting. Not this BS now to where they wanna public order you to death offering 50g and no mats for something that cost 5k in mats…
only reason is undercutting is hurting the profession
It currently is. Crafted gear can reach 486.
nothing convoluted about it
Totally new player on 1st character to DF probably cant do it, I didnt test it on new account (but it wont be very far).
I was more reffering to alt character (main has some artisan rep) who starts JC from zero.
Bigger problem would be to figure out how to do it, not timegated KP itself.
I really like the current system my only complaint is to actually level professions seems needlessly complicated. The actual process of making stuff is just a mess. Too many ranks, too many redundant items that help in the crafting process. What happen to just getting 3 items and making a piece of gear?
The crafting order system could be vastly improved as well.
Lariat is not the end all be all. It’s one recipe………
I wonder if the layoffs are warfarin testing poorly internally and corporate preparing for a clown show of a launch.
Going from merging the Vivendi team to add necessary support to the WoW team to firing 1900 less than a year later doesn’t seem right. ABK is also claiming it’s not due to the MS merger when they were asked by the FTC over the layoff.
You can make garbage worthless BoE’s in Dragonflight, just like in every other expansion.
The difference is that in Dragonflight you can also make valuable pieces at the top item levels in the game.
