How dead is Maladath compared to the other new servers?

Hi all,
I wanted a new fresh experience in Ally (as I play in horde in retail) ans skyfury seemed the perfect choice, its quite balanced between ally and horde, it has pvp and it’s blooming with new players. But of course, I can’t join as Blizzard locked it, so against my will I gotta choose another server.
Is it 50/50 ally and horde or a particular faction took over? Is it empty? Thank you!

If the server is PvE it doesn’t really matter which faction is favored FYI.

How does raiding works if I am ally in a horde PvE server?

I think i tend to see more Ally than horde in neutral areas. But i could be mistaken. Feels balanced though tbh.

Too many Belfs though for sure.

I hate this meme. When enough people believe it, it might actually kill Maladath.

Maladath isn’t dead at all. No queues but a population of 20k horde and around 26k alliance over level 10 in the last seven days. There is a website to track population on servers wowclassicpop.com. There are no queues, and while faction balance is required for a PvE realm, the world for sure feels alive with both horde and alliance.

I ain’t memeing though, I was choosing my server when I created the thread and since we start on the class-specific areas it would take me awhile to find out for myself. But i ended up creating my character there, maximum it can happen is server dies and I transfer my character somewhere else

I’d keep in mind from the website though
" This project is highly dependant on community participation, because the statistics are only as good as of how many people have the CensusPlusWotlk addon installed and submit their collected data to the website. If you wanna participate in improving the significance of the samples, just start collecting data while you’re playing."
I had never even heard of this until today, yet people sprouting server population on skyfury all the time lol…it also only has 18k downloads on curseforge. How do they have such high #s for pop without the addon installed? :s

The addon does /who queries, I don’t think it only counts people with the addon.

Addon dev here. Addon queries the /who with a more and more narrow search as it hits the 50 result limit, then stores what is sees in the LUA to be uploaded to the site. The addon isn’t required to be tracked, only that you are visible from /who
