"How dare healers do world quests! Let's nerf Rushing Wind Kick by 50%"

God dang it Blizz, it’s not like our damage is that good anyway. It’s passable enough for a world quest or a delve, but apparently that’s just too much for you, eh? Mistweaver has to be incapable of killing anything without the help of a big strong DPS player, right?

I’m so upset by this. As usual, catering to the top 1% and tuning the entire game around mythic raiding.

Honestly surprised by this… It already feels underwhelming in PvE… this just nails it in the coffin I guess.

It is now officially dead for PvE, there’s no longer “more damage for less healing” tradeoff it’s always a bad pick now

You take rushing wind kick in raid to proc rising mist at range while buffing all your renewing mist. With the new 2 set and pool of mist you will be able to kick much more frequently, so they nerfed the damage because mw passive damge (in raid) was already significantly above every other healer.

As usual, tuning class design entirely around raid. Disgraceful.

Where are the notes for this? I can’t find them anywhere

Can someone check if this nerf was really applied?

The upcoming class tuning update announced the nerf, but it is missing from the weekly reset hotfix notes.

Your reasonable answer is ruining my ability to get mad about the nerf, even though it is justified.

boo this man!

Wait, they’re nerfing Rushing Wind Kick damage by 50%? Why? It’s like, the single talent that revived my interest in playing a Mistweaver because it felt so good to use.

Healers NEED to be able to talent into damage instead of dumping everything into healing.

When it comes to monk I really don’t think they’re catering to the top 1%. if they were we wouldn’t have gotten super nerfed in s2 when they had like 6 monks on their raid rosters.

It does feel undertuned. My other heal toons do comparable damage to my mw event at lower ilvl. I even spent time going to look up data on mythic stats and it seems pres is over tuned but rsham and disc priest are doing equal or better damage. This make sense because I have been playing my pres and it does the same or more damage 30 ilvls lower w/o tier. What doesn’t is the high utility classes having comparable damage. It devalues mw a lot since it’s the only appealing thing to groups.

That’s rough. If our damage is our utility they will surely come back and retune it but who knows when.

Mistweaver will always, and should always, do less max dps than every other healer for as long as fistweaveing stays a straight damage to healing conversion and raid caster usues rushing kick as part of its healing rotation.

Other healers have to sacrifice or just stop healing to do significant damage while fw can go full dps while also doing its highest hps (especially if they keep cutting back on heal amps), caster on the other hand has the highest damage floor but the lowest ceiling since it already maximise the use of its biggest damaging ability and they can’t buff the rest of the dps kit without overcharging fw.

It’s the trade-off we get for doing more passive damage than everyone else unfortunately.

That’s the wonderful thing about rushing wind kick - taking it increased your damage, at the expense of your healing conversion. It was a wonderful talent for soloing world content.

Now it happened in PVP. Blizzard really HATES it when Healers do something that Blizzard considers the domain of DPS. i.e.: Doing world content, or killing stuff. Healers need to devote 110% of their time to serving the DPS GODS according to Blizzard.
