How compatible is Void and Fel?

Just stick with the Blood Elf Paladin, did you see reformed Silvermoon?
Affordable housing for all elves.

Fel and Void are partially compatible, sharing some underlying cosmic origin. Fel was formed from the cosmic collision of Light and Void. However, Fel is more destructive and chaotic than Void, as it is a manifestation of disorder and chaos and uses life as fuel. While Fel and Void can interact their natures are not identical.

The Legion was created to combat the void threat through … Extreme measures.
(Conquering the universe & cosmos, claiming world souls and destroying all who stand in their way)

Fel Side:

However there were Eredar Warlocks who harnessed the void as a means to oppose it, like an affront to the force itself – ā€œFighting fire with fireā€ so to speak  If I recall correctly there’s a rare in Argus who does such and has a little bit of dialog referencing it.

Void Side:

Additionally, you also have beings of the void who don’t really hold any ā€˜loyalties’ towards their order — and are welcome to serve those who gift them pleasure and a chance at life.

  • Such is seen with the Void Revenant → Xhul’horac

Summoned by Gul’dan from the depths of the Twisting Nether — Gul’dan fed Xhul’horac overwhelming Fel energy, and using his powers to tear open the portals through which he plans to rally the forces of the Burning Legion.

So ultimately, in a sense →

– is subjective.

Shadow and holy are the only two forces that I’m aware of that react violently to each other. Fel, which is chaos, is every cosmic force combined.

Very compatible. Many warlock spells uses both.

They’re commonly used together. So fairly.

Going too far, as with mixing any cosmic forces, will result in catastrophe if you don’t know what you’re doing though.

That’s assuming that his explosion is a result of void and fel being combined, rather than just being overloaded and unable to contain all that power.

WoW lore is generally quite inconsistent and it’s better to just assume anything is possible under the correct circumstances. Undead paladins have existed for years, after all. Plus my theory is Xalatath is gathering all of the cosmological orders to combine together into something, which if that happens, it will officially mean that while the orders may be opposed to each other, they can still interact under the correct circumstances.

No one tell Alleria and Turalyon that, though.

At this point Id imagine its like whatever the new color of Kryptonite does:

Whatever the writers want.

Dang you beat me to it.

I was going to link this one though.

I coulda sworn that image was outdated though…that there was some new stuff that altered it? Im probably mistaken though. I dont keep up with the lore as I should.

The arathi’s concept is over-riding it yeah?

4D chart or what not.

Blizz is just using it as a convenience device at this point lol

I mean, if two people really love each other. I’m sure they can make anything work.

I don’t anything has changed.

If we follow the more recent xpacs story. We saw order-disorder in legion. Then life-death in SL.
Now are are seeing light-void in the trilogy.

And if the last titan is about… azeroth…the titan. Look at what is at the opposite end of that

I am still of the mind that Azeroth will pop out of her egg, akin to a mortal human: Affected by all these different forces, but not drawn to any single one.

Tbh it will be interesting to see how they handle it.
All we know is all the big bads up to now have been after her (thanks SL retcon). And she is going to be the most powerful titan EVER…

It’s either going to be a fantastic climax or…

I was seeing a Fel Demon for a bit, but it didn’t work out in the end.

Void and Fel go together like oil and uh………something green, with questionable mixability.

mix green and purple. See what comes out. Ew.

There’s a whole area of Eradar ā€œvoidcallersā€ in the Broken Shore zone of the Broken Isles, as one example.

Yep  There’s quite a few who utilise the void as a greater means to stop the threat its larger forces (Void Lords) may pose to world-souls, entire worlds and the universe.

  • In a similar sense — Locus Walker did the same thing.
  • Alleria, ironically used the void as an affront to demons, chaos and the Legion.
  • Void Elves … Mostly just sort of wanted a different means of power they thought could be effective & was worthy of studying. :person_shrugging:

I’m sure particular characters & players could roleplay as otherwise though

Eredar Draenei players might be able to do such with roleplay as a warlock (or Shadow-Priest) who uses the void for the initial reasons aforementioned — Following a noble cause, yet was drawn into a hostile & not-so-benevolent force, until the means to escape it was presented. :dracthyr_nod:

As far as leaders go, Velen would be an utmost ideal leader for combating the void.
