Foxes are very widespread in folklore, as are bears, werewolves and minotaurs, from Asia to Eastern Europe!

Again, for me, it’s all about the showcasing of the thing. Worgen males look dangerous (females are obviously for furries, which still irks me). Tauren males look buff and war-like, as do their women. Vulpera look like cute plushies with big anime eyes and cute ears, plus the name “vupera” sounds like a final fanboy cutsie race name all on it’s own. Even if I had no concept of what a vulpera actually looked like, if I had heard that term for the first time, my brain would have gone straight to “some cute animal like a red panda that probably only survived out of luck because it’s too dumb and weak to do so on its own.”
In addition, stop adding more to the game. Stick to what my preferred head-canon is and let the game die when you’re out of ideas around that, blizz (my head canon is perpetually only what I saw in wc3, additions and deviations from that get a big frown from me).
We have hair, not fur.
Gnomes look dangerous or cute?
Blood Elves Look dangerous or cute?
Right! I will wait for World of Akaidian!
If they were unattractive, you wouldn’t have every BELF and her sister clamoring for them to become a playable race.
Do people really find Tauren adorable? Have you ever looked at a female Tauren and thought, “I’d milk that!”?
Um. It’s fur. Sorry to disappoint you and all but…
Can you imagine a Tauren going “uwu”?
I think it’s less about there being actual fur, and more about the entire general attitude of “I paw ur thigh u moan uwu” that you tend to get with more cutesy furry animals.
Don’t ruin my delusions with your facts.

No, but I’ve looked at plenty of male Tauren and thought, “I’d milk that!”
Short Answer: Tauren are furries.
Long answer: Too many “masculine” players rolled Tauren because they represent strength and power (like a Bull). But they are too insecure to get over the fact that Tauren are infact furries.
And yes people, there is tons of erotic cow furry fanfiction/art.
Vulpera imo, are just too cute and cuddly for the horde. I mean…I like them, just not as a horde playable race.
Hey I apologized and all. If it makes you feel better I like tauren and I think they’re the only unique race when it comes to horde, like the draenei for alliance. All the other races are just copies of whatever has been used in fantasy a million times whether they’re depicted as brainless enemies or stereotypical protagonist races.
Tauren are Furries. People are just indenial about this as they play one.
I am a blood elf. And I most certainly do not want them in the horde. Period, end of discussion.
Dont forget worgen and pandas my troll friend. Not sure if you can add druid forms to that list also.
I am teasing. I looked it up and scientifically there is no difference between fur and hair.
No, not scientifically. Any non human species is described as having fur and that’s the only difference, but that’s where it’s at.
