Invited an alliance player on my horde toon. But they couldn’t mount on my sandstone drake. Why?

Cross-faction is only for instanced content. Even warlock closets don’t work cross-faction until you zone in.

I was able to use a Recruit-a-Friend summon on an opposite faction character on my second account; I had to form a community and add my alts to it first though. Not sure if that would also enable other ways to interact with opposite faction characters in the open world
