Personally I have a blast healing, however, I also get what the guy in the long post is saying. And I mostly agree. But the idea of more ground targeted spells is not good. Ground targeted spells have a specific niche role.
Prayer of mending is an example of something that helps. Cast it. Forget it. It heals most injured player when it jumps. More of that would be good because I can pay more attention to the other stuff for a time.
The heat map health aura is a killer idea. Solid suggestion.
I play this game specifically because healers are powerful and it’s complicated. If it’s too hard, run heroics. If you don’t want to get sweaty with a spaceship UI, don’t. If you don’t like the time pressure of mythics, don’t do it. (I am not saying there isn’t room for improvement).
My personal opinion is that the complexity is what WoW has going for it (thank God for the return of talent trees). That and world quests/group activity.
Every other aspect is done better by other games.
