How can the WoW community fix the obsession with meta?

the easiest way to fix the meta is… 1 spell no addons no communication and ban anyone who has opinions. LOL

I think meta is just a byproduct of choice in a modern gaming environment with so much information sharing and guides.

Even in classic where raids are incredibly easy and underlined, you still have an incredibly rigid meta being followed. Raids are at bare minimum half warriors.

You still have yet to explain from my earlier situation on how to properly vet invites. Raid logs are different set of data that isnt applicable in M+ all that much apart from a couple bosses.

Its easier to parse if a guild allows you to and your parses can be bloated. Plus why wouldnt RIO place your parses aside from your amounts of bosses you’ve downed instead?

Why should I have to open every person I’m inviting on another monitor to check their parses in raid no less for a low key… There needs to be a better way to judge. With the penalty system they’ll just have a red flag over their invite name and that’ll be the best way to know hopefully for now until more ingame checks are added.

You do realize there are mplus logs too right?

Because raider io and wcl are two independent sites.

You don’t. You’re the one asking how to vet people.

Its within the context of what you said… I’m sorry if you cant see it but that is how it looks.

“Hey I can easily do this and what I’m doing isnt even that great or high, I’m not even trying” stating that to someone is gloating.

“Hey this test is hard” your response would be “I’m not even trying, you act like that test is super tough but it’s easy. I dont find it hard” - Gloating.

We have the penalty system coming so we’ll see then.

3712

This seems to suggest 0.1% will get some reward in all faction. I think, there should be some sort of ranking for specs.

Looks like Keystone Legend is a flat 3000.

Like this Blitz Cutoff list.

Yet it’s not. I never said 3k io was easy to get. I said it wasn’t impressive. you can’t figure out what words mean no wonder you can’t make friends.

My word you need to actually work on reading what I said instead of getting emotional and reading things that weren’t even said.

“You act like 3k is high”

tbf im pretty high

The penalty system that isn’t going to do anything?

You really should do some more research on the tools you have available.

I think at this point Snozy has had too much of whatever he’s smoking… We’re all getting high because of it xD

“How high are you at 3k?”

insert Cheech and Chong meme

I didn’t say it’s super high… Nor did I even suggest it was. I’m saying, I’m playing at a 3k io on multiple toons, meaning I have a pretty decent understanding of the classes, how they play, and I’m above average at all of them.

This is just a dumb comment. I do decent damage on my warrior, but an uncapped DK, Balance druid, and Paladin are just going to do more… no matter how good you are at warrior, you’re not going to out DPS an equaly skilled or evne a slightly below your skill DK/Boomy/Paladin.

The fact that you are even arguing that you can, and it’s ALL skill based, makes me question your statement that you even run M+ or play the game at all for that matter.

hey hey im all about the community. i pass the dutchie pon de lef han siyy…

it isn’t high when the cutoff for title is about 700+ points higher.

Here let me break down what I actually said.

What I said is that he’s acting like 3k is super high.

It isn’t. People that actually push mplus are over 3500 io. That is impressive.

In the context he is flexing that 3k is impressive

You should really learn to read context.

Untrue. If you open someone’s WCL and see they’re constantly dying on boss fights, it’s a possible indication that they often fail mechanics. I wouldn’t want someone that constantly fails mechanics in my group, would you?

Sure. And by seeing that, I know they can at least push their buttons in the correct order compared to someone who can’t.

I’m not saying you have to. For me, if I’m about to commit 30 minutes to a dungeon with my own key, I don’t mind spending an extra 5 to get the best possible group on paper. If I don’t find good enough applicants, I don’t run my key. That’s just me. I do me, you do you.

There is zero, and let me stress than again for you, ZERO surefire way to tell how a pug player will perform in your specific group. That’s the nature of playing with random people. All you can do is use the available tools to minimize risk based on past performances.

The penalty system is only for people who leave before the timer or without an abandon vote a certain number of times. It has absolutely no relevance to if they’re good or bad.

It’s because of seasons like 9.2 or 10.1.5 where the meta is so strong that I could time the same level keys or higher as a noob (on a spec I never played before) as a spec I’d been playing well for years.

These seasons happen and people can’t imagine it being another way. Also, even though it’s better, it’s still not perfect. Most survival players, even ones doing 12 and 13, can probably swap to MM and learn it in a day and on the second day be timing 15s with it.

You’re literally tried to flex it till I pointed out it wasn’t. Don’t move goalposts now.

It’s not.

Snozay Area 52.

I didn’t say it was all skill. Burning you’re blaming bad play because it’s not meta it’s 100% a skill issue.
