How can gnomes be monks?

As long as they can harness chi…

Size isn’t a lore restriction. Gnomes are just as capable of learning the fighting styles as anyone else. Plus we also use chi to buff ourselves. As shown in the Valley, even a gnome can punch through stone if they wanted. The small size can even be an advantage, way harder for enemies to hit.

Because they cant Reach the Lights!

My own head cannon has more problems with Foresaken monks since when I picture them doing the little spinning thing bits and pieces and limbs fly off everywhere.

Okay, that made me laugh. Thanks for that xD

Undead monks only remind me of the boot to the head skit.

Many martial arts were created as a style of fighting where size doesn’t really matter that much. This sentiment is reflected in wow with the pandaren rebelling against their much larger mogu slavers using it.

With this in mind, gnomes make perfect sense.

Don’t Gnomes and Dwarves have like ant strength? Pretty sure the planc constant applies to Gnomes/Dwarves.

throws on best Zen Dao impression “And now class, we shall meditate on the bodies of our enemies… BOOT TO THE HEAD!”

“Groinal” is now my new favorite word and I and going to make a Gnome Monk.

Sometimes the rule of cool trumps logic and reasoning.

Gnome monks are cool.

It’s all down to a typo in development, back in Pandaria. You see, they were going to give us a mechagnome hero class back then, it’s true! A tanking-specialized class called Tonks, a sort of clockwork battle-vehicle based on the remote-control toys with a Robot Wars twist! Unfortunately this died on the development board and they just got Monks like everyone else.

With their low center of gravity they’re probably the race that can monk the best.

Why can’t gnomes be monks?

Makes no sense to me.

Panda’s not being able to be Druid still boggles the mind for me.

The same way Kul Tirans can be rogues.

Beware punting lest you become the punted. What else do you need to know?

Apparently no one has seen Star Wars.

Yoda can help answer why Gnome monks work.

The term Monk is not exclusive to one particular continent or culture. Monks have existed throughout history in different regions and… oh Cancel Culture is here! I better make a break for it…

And a powerful ally it is.
