I really love Light Smith, and it was keeping up with Herald a little bit then they pretty much gutted it. How bad is it has anyone tried it as of late?
I don’t know about PvE, but it’s working great in PvP
I would argue it’s in a much better state now then it used to be.
On the surface it may seem like it’s worse because it’s replacing Divine Toll, but it’s doing quite a bit of work under the hood to compensate. Namely “Resounding Strike” adding the Hammer and Anvil heal to your armaments and “Reflections of Radiance” granting you Awakening triggers on your judgments as your armaments either absorb damage or trigger Sacred weapon procs. “Masterwork” as well, adds a significant amount of value to your Bulwark by making your spells send out lesser versions of it out to the group.
Awakening procs mean you are very reliably getting crits on judgments which means A) Hammer and Anvil heals. and B) Empyreal Legacy Procs.
Not to mention you have a steady flow of Infusion procs everytime your armaments fade from allies.
Hammer and Anvil, meanwhile, is in a very good state, it scales with your mastery now so while it’s not at it’s peak performance it ever was, it’s in a stronger state then it used to be, and with the two main effects I alluded to you trigger it far more often and more reliably.
So yeah, i think Herald technically has higher output by the way it scales up your core kit, but they are far closer together then they where in TWW.
