Since we are necro’ing threads about Warriors… I though this was an interesting comment since its about tanks.
I’m assuming what is meant is that all three tanks can tank any boss in the game fine but there are pros to using a Bear or Paladin in the later phases. WoW players tend to grossly overstate the performance differences between two classes in the same role so I’m assuming this is what is going on. That said, OT is not a demotion, it is a very important tanking role so that’s completely fine if Warriors shine as OT in the new fangled TBC zeitgeist for Sunwell.
TBC Arms PVP is a big upgrade over Vanilla, I’m seriously looking forward to it. Warrior tanking in Heroic dungeons is fine, I did loads of it, but I’m anticipating some Warriors giving up on it early on because it plays different than Classic and is a bit more punishing for not knowing how to balance mitigation and TPS output. DPS isn’t my area of expertise, but Fury is generally good when geared and played properly and Arms brings enough AOE damage and utility that they can benefit the raid to bring.
The people saying Warrior is done after Classic are spreading wishful thinking. It just isn’t miles ahead and that’s a good thing.
