How (and why) I quit my job to play classic - update

what about the part where your partner says “so, when do I get to see the degree”

Yeah.

We are the nerds for having jobs.

Makes sense.

Imagine playing games and making six figures a month doing so, whats a real job. lole. I bet your cubicle must be cute.

This is all admissible evidence for a forthcoming divorce btw… “he lied to me about pursuing career and educational advancement, all while subsidizing his gaming addiction on my income and our savings…”

You know it’s a bad idea when you have to lie to your partner to justify doing it.

My wife and I work full time and we rely on each other’s income to pay the bills - we just bought a second house and our first brand new 2019 vehicle.

I know Restaurant managers don’t make a killing, and I’m guessing your GF or wife doesn’t slay it either.

If my wife did this which would be detrimental to us financially after an entire YEAR of our income being cut in half, I would file for divorce and take a screenshot of this thread as evidence to fight alimony, custody, etc.

10/10 scumbag OP.

Youre going to have to try to make some sense.

Sounds like you’re not sure which direction you want to go with a comment like that.

bunch of jealous people who don’t know how to budget and enjoy themselves. most likely a lot of overspending materialists in this thread.

Just admit it.

You’re doing the samething the OP is doing or…plot twist…

You’re an alt of the OP.

I’m thinking the latter.

Reading this thread, it’s mostly people disgusted that he lied to his partner. If he quit his job and it only impacted himself, I don’t think anyone would care - maybe call him immature or something.

But why make your GF/Spouse or whatever work twice as hard based on a lie so you can play video games?
That’s true scumbagery.

she should be with OP because she loves him not because of his paycheck. OP did nothing wrong. she should of been supportive in the first place.

Well if you’re living in a cardboard box, neither of you will be enjoying classic.

Edit: When you get older and have to pay bills you’ll understand. Again, I’d divorce my wife over this and use this thread as evidence to fight alimony.
(Courts are heavily biased towards the woman in these cases unless there’s direct evidence provided by the man. That’s just life)

At this point,

I’d pray it is just trolling.

Ahhh actually leading a guild\raid is very much the same skillsets as leading a team in an organisational setting. Many of the communication and goal alignment strategies carry over… A lot of what I learned in vanilla leading UBRS runs after doing the run once is how I modeled my training sessions for new staff and was able to actually show leadership.
How do you train some one not to do the wrong thing in an office (think back to how you taught pugs to skip adds), apply the same logic and steps, do it once yourselfs ask them to perform the same steps, maybe get them to watch instructional videos and ensure they can competently complete the task…

Its crazy how aligned the lessons in wow can be applied in the real world.

Thats not really how relationships work… what about if he wanted to start selling contaband or breaking the law in other areas… people change thats the point. A significant change like this can put pressure on a relationship and should really be discussed… the Disney “love conquers all” thing is crazy.

this game clearly had a big effect on OPS life and molded him into the man his woman fell in love with to take this away from him is WRONG.

It actually works really well in sales, besides companies are ambivalent about being lied to, they only don’t like knowing or finding out they have been lied to.
