This will sound super weird… But… But… How about you play the game like it used to be? You know, farming and crafting and go out and explore the world and do stuff. Not just sit in Oribos all day going out once in a while to do a dungeon. Remember, there’s a crafting system in this game, you can gather and farm your own mats for raid!!!

yeah, if they are prepared to spend that much time raiding, surely you can find a guild that takes fewer than 815 pulls to kill Sylvanas.
I’ll take banned, or quit. Doesn’t matter.
There are still markets for transmogs, old alchemical reagents, and BoE mounts that are littered throughout the twenty-or-so raids in game.

mmm Gold isnt that hard to make - but it is tedious and this move by Blizz is just forcing people to have to add yet another time grind onto their weeks. I have alot of friends and guildies who can only play the game because they have been able to sell a couple runs and get enough gold to buy a token. They dont have the time to farm mats or the inclination to do content they find boring.
All this change will do is move all sales and discussions offgame into private discords where the boosting communities will continue to operate, they will just make ‘guilds’ instead. It also means more noobs and casual players will get scammed. As the bigger boosting communities offered some sense of buyer security. And like it or not theres a big chunk of the current wow community that dont want to grind thru the raid tiers or farm 15’s for their achieves or vaults. They just want to pay and get it done.
9.2 is going to bring inflated prices for new leggo bases and consumes. Likely 200k + for bases again. If your in a high end guild youl be expected to have them. This wont punish the big time boosters, it will punish the little guys. Same like the multiboxing changes didnt reduce the bots, but it punished the everyday players who enjoyed that gameplay. And how they nerfed the raw gold value of old content. You used to be able to run a toon thru old raids each week and make enough for your token every month. It didnt impact anyone. Was supposed to curb the bots, they just moved to whatever dungeon had high mob density and a good loot table of greens.
But hey, im sure this change is really going to stop the problem right.
The income from these sources have been nerfed into oblivion to slow down botting.
I don’t even log into the game if i don’t want to play. I go off and do other things that do interest me rather than sitting around Oribos all day waiting for LFR queues like most people do.
Yeah and after investing hours upon hours upon hours and sinking 100s of 1000s of gold worth of my self farmed mats into it i still need to invest more to be able to make the items that actually sell on the AH (rank 6 lego base pieces.)
Having to reform the raid team 3 separate times due to burnout caused by the game itself will slow anyone’s progression down.
They won’t get either. RMTers don’t care if they are banned because they make so much money they just spin up another account.
That goes back to spending hours of my time, just this time cancel-scanning so i can actually get the stuff sold.
I’m sure advertising your team as 3 days when raiding 4-5 on average has nothing to do with that. Nor do the complaints of sexual harassment against the GM, and reports of officers covering it up.
Crafting, herbing, some other stuff like that?
They can still do that, but they have to do it in house. Do not worry Chicken Little, the sky is not falling, just stop looking through binoculars.

There are 3 teams in this guild. Of course ‘the guild’ raids more there’s 3 teams.
Provide the evidence and i’ll leave the guild or get him forced out.

That’s not how the game was ever intended to be played. Be happy you got spoonfed easy gold for as long as you did.
You can buy WoW tokens and sell them for gold if you’re too lazy to make gold from the AH or playing the game. Boosting is a scourge on the game and I’m glad it seems like they’re finally taking it seriously.

Actually blizzard made this mess. By cutting us off from LFG advertisement and making it the exclusive domain of RMTers.
10-15k gold can easily be farmed with like 1 hour of flying around on a throwaway Druid alt with Mining/Herbalism, stop being so overly dramatic…

I don’t mind boosting at all, but seriously, you can do 12 world quests every 3 days for like 9k gold. It’s not hard.
