Is there a reason you can’t just use your trinkets to recall to your base?
And I’ve heard a lot of Alliance players claim that it is impossible to defend the backdoor entrance that lets you skip the bridge, so what is stopping you from using that to get into your base?
I don’t understand how your base can be impossible for you to defend, while simultaneously being impossible for you to attack when the other team is defending it. Unless of course, one faction is better than the other.

It dumps us directly on the spot horde need to defend, or if they control the GY, a stack of guards.

Move on. Either from the Ice Barb or the game, your choice.
It took me a few days of playing nonstop to get my wand. A lot of us did it when premades were still around too. I personally had to wait in queues that exceeded an hour sometimes to lose in 5 mins.
It sucks, but it is what it is. If you had won your first game you probably wouldn’t have gone back either.
Advice. Play it as a rep farm. Just actually try and get teammates to try and eventually you’ll win one.
If you’re trying for 60 asap, move on from the spear.
To be honest man, you’re kind of acting like every single person that plays AV knows how to play the game. We’re talking thousands and thousands of players. The simple fact is both factions will have players of ALL skill levels playing AV, there’s gonna be many games where only a few people realistically know the strategy to follow and I’m sure many players just end up following the mob. This isn’t just one faction having this happen. I’ve played characters on both factions and the horde has many garbage players as well. I’ve had a few matches now where we absolutely decimate the horde off the initial encounter and still manage to lose.
I believe there’s quite a few games lost due to rep farming but I think the map is just unbalanced and that’s the real problem.
Trust me… you are better off levelling, getting a BRD group and rolling on Dreadforge Retaliator.

Go back in there during AV weekend and play as much as you can. Alliance win more on AV weekend due to people trying. It will probably still take several games to get it. AV weekend is like 10 days away or something. Get to level 60 and go back.
In the process of getting to exalted in AV, I was part of 3 Alliance wins, 2 of which were on AV weekend
AV weekend is the best bet for a win.
Alliance won’t win AV until Horde reroll Alliance and show them how to win step by step.
So, never.
The game is already over by that point. Even if we were successful in retaking SPGY, you guys are already in our base. Let’s say all our dreams come true and we retake SPGY and kick you out of our base, you’re still in control of SHGY, which is still an all but certain loss for us anyway. And since you made it into our base you probably killed our rep turn in NPC’s too.

Just join a ZG pug group for gear. Far less stress with a much greater chance of success.

You have to rez, equip the trinket and wait for the cooldown. Then, when you do recall it’s right on top of the flag in the middle of a mob of horde - and you have to deal with the area loading.
So, generally, anyone who recalls is dead in instants. And those who make it have nowhere to go since horde can kill you without aggroing Van.
Of course it’s possible to defend the back door, it’s just that when the battle is far off that means some people end up sitting around there for a long time, getting the occasional honor kill but mostly doing nothing.
So how many are going to do that? Maybe one or two and if three or four horde show up that defense is useless. If there was no backdoor then you could use the better choke, the bridge, to defend.
Not to mention those horde have practice running up the back door path. Alliance generally don’t do they will be sitting ducks as they try to climb it while a dozen horde slam them.
ill tell you a secret: the spear isnt needed. only thing it might be useful is its rp power. they are other weapons that are better and less stressful to get.
The spear is great if you can get it right at 51, it’ll last you a while and really up your DPS. However, it’s not worth slogging through tons of AV losses. Better to just level and find other weapons.

Eh, I don’t pay any attention to forum avatars because so many people post on ones that aren’t related to what they are talking about.
I have a warrior and that was my experience, the spear was a nice upgrade but not necessary and not worth the AV time.
