No the forums are not for rage and such. They are for opinions and talking about the game in an objective way.
Also, you have absolutely no freaking idea of how difficult it is to sift through thousands of lines of code to find that one mispelling or incorrectly placed character. If you don’t know about coding/programming then do the rest of the forums a favor and close your pie hole.
Yes, you can make a post or thread about a bug in the BUG forums. Yes, you can express your disappointment or general dislike towards something but for crying out loud stop acting like your view point is the only one that matters.
You are NEVER going to have a game be bug free. No game, no software, nothing is going to launch bug free. You can only test for so much and honestly the amount of bugs in SL is so much fewer than past expansions that I am actually rather impressed. I would put that on them likely getting better at designing a testing process that identifies potential bugs.
I don’t think anyone in the world has produced something that is bug free for any form of software. That’s uh, a pretty big reason software is patched.
All you naysayers would never have believed TESLA stock would go up this much. But I bought it because hey! At least here’s a guy who DREAMS of a way to reduce pollution!
Does Elon Musk sleep? I think he said on Joe Rogan once that he’s never able to sleep for more than an hour or so at a time. Then they both got baked. Good episode!
This is interesting. It reminds me of when I dated a guy who was hired to re-write poorly written code for Space Labs. No I don’t write code. Are you insinuating Blizz is incapable of hirindg excellent code writers that all stick to the same type of code?
It doesn’t matter how many or how good those code writers are, when you have millions of lines of code built on decades of other code you are going to have odd things pop up. Sometimes you can fix one bug that will trickle down into two others that have absolutely nothing to do with a part of the game you are even working on.
A good example is the bag you start with. It took them 14-15 years to figure out how to expand that thing because of how it was originally coded. Just changing the size pretty much broke everything originally so it took them some time.
Anyone that has ever coded before knows it’s just the nature of the beast. It can be working perfectly fine and then you push it out live and then something screws up.
At least this isn’t the old days of MMO’s where they would get bugs and you suddenly couldn’t rez at all. That was a fun one I saw happen in SWG.
Let’s be fair, it’s past-tense at this point. OP seems to have calmed down significantly and proving to be rather pleasant to engage with – although I think I might just be waxing friendly toward someone who already set me to be ignored.
