How’re you leveling alts?

I think you mean soup

Fishing at the soup

Fair enough

Level 10 without heirlooms leaving an old starting zone: ilvl 6.
Level 10 quest gear: ilvl 12.
Level 10 heirlooms: ilvl 29.
Level 10 dungeon gear: ilvl 33.

It’s like, after all these years of making gearing systems for new expansions that were incompatible with old gear, they finally decided to reconcile everything, and got about 25% done.

The dungeon journal ilvl shown for wod is entirely incorrect. Some Legion gear drops correctly (according to how other expansions work) and some is way out of whack.

Half of BfA dungeon gear is the wrong armor or weapon type for your class. A character of mine got a piece of gear in a wod dungeon last night that isn’t even on the loot table for that dungeon.

I don’t know if I wanna level alts. The catch up system for mid to high range isn’t very alt-friendly in terms of reputations.

I’d love if they had the system from MoP, where once you reached a certain reputation status (or ‘Renown’ level in this case) you could purchase a ‘BIND ON ACCOUNT’ item that increases reputation with that faction by like 300% until they reach X level it was purchased on.

With the above, if you feel you chose the wrong class to main - but have made quite the grind already - it wouldn’t be as punishing to swap out to another character.

“Let the fun continue on!”

If you have a good group that keeps going, dungeoning is the best way.

I wish I timed it… But I want to say I went from 61-70 in 3-4 hours just from dungeons.

Leveling through timewalking this week. Decent xp for the dungeons and a shot at the infinite time weaver. Breaks the monotone of doing the same df dungeons and campaign/WQs

I’m not yet and I had 27 max toons prior… professions tied to reknown and limited skill points for professions has reduced my enthusiasm for alts.

Yeah I think I had nearly the same amount at the end of SL. Some people are always in such a rush to level alts then they get burnt out and quit lol. Only have two 70s myself atm. Warrior and a mage.

Rare hunting, world quests, events, professions ( love that all professions now give xp ), maybe a bit of cobalt farming but that’s boring, and I feel useless until I’m about 68.

I’m gonna stick to just one alliance and horde.

DF has a lot of stuff to do every week and I do need to go back to past expansions I missed with my Hunter.

That and I hate not having flying so that makes alts painful.

I talk to an NPC. I get a task. I complete the task. I talk to the NPC. I get reward and xp.

Leveling my army passively. 100+ at 93 now.

Mostly farming gold since this xpac is boring so far.

War Mode and gathering enough blood tokens to get my toons some 366+ loot ready for them once they reach max level. I get to knock out leveling them and most importantly, doing the end game content that is xmog farming.

Here’s the neat part, I don’t.

chain dungeon runs, its way easier it seems this xpac. at least after adventure mode is unlocked on my main. level 60, low ilvl, but can log on to an alt that hasnt been touched since mid-SL and que for DF dungeons without having to unlock anything or get better gear or a higher level. its nice

Herbing/Mining for an hour or so every other day on my druid got it to about 66 at which point I started doing WQ and tank/heal ques for randoms.

Been there, done that. Myvaltnleveling is slow.

Tanking. 1-70 quick. Story line doesn’t matter on an alt. Just gear
