For now you’ll need to install an addon. I use Vamoose’s Endeavors:

I didn’t really shop around, so perhaps someone else might have alternatives to suggest.

If you stop getting xp, you’ve hit the cap.

You can also use Vamoose’s Endeavors to track your progress.

I think you meant two houses?

You can literally fully decorate two houses.

The storage cap is entirely too low, considering…

  • the sheer number of decor items available,
  • the number being added in just a few days with Midnight launch,
  • that obtaining new decor equals housing xp,
  • that there are collectors in the game who will want one of every item just because,
  • and more…

But many players have two houses and have rebuilt multiple times with the current cap. It is possible. As levels are gained and items are added we will be severely limited on new and/or expanded builds if the cap remains, but it will still be possible. It will just require that we destroy things we worked pretty hard, in some cases, to obtain.

Question: has Blizz ever explained why reputation isn’t warbound? Any insight is appreciated.

They originally wanted to make all reputations warbound. Then after 11.1 when they added warbound reps for Dragonflight and Shadowlands, they put the rest on the back burner and haven’t returned to the task. Unfortunately really. Should have been an easy QOL item to put into the game.

Ack that’s so irritating. I had to hope that I had a character that is revered with SW yesterday for decor and had to go find a character that I haven’t played in many years on a dead server just to buy some stuff. At least I had it at all I guess, unlike Council of Exarchs.

Yeah it can be. Luckily, I have a druid that has almost every reputation at exalted but it would be easier if I could just use whatever character I felt like collecting with, like my mage.

Finding characters that have completed a quest chain is more “fun”.

You 1000% have no actual clue if they “put the rest on the back burner and haven’t returned to the task”

They shouldnt have to keep telling you every hour or every day or even every week that “Yes, we are, in fact, still working on it”

You know it’s intended design. You know what they’ve reiterated over and over. You know what time passing feels like as it relates to designing and/or fixing something. Be patient and stop assuming non communication is them “Abandoning something” or “no longer working on something”

In the 21 years this game has been out, this design directive has only ever happened on Betas and Alphas, and its always concerned zones and/or scrapped raids.

Dalaran in hillsbrad foothills.
Abyssal Maw in Vash’jir.
Azshara Crater.

Those kinds of things. Even something as old as the karazhan crypts got used eventually. Even the emerald dream got used, even though it was changed from a continent to a patch zone, it was still used.

if they were going to “abandon” the feature it just would have never made it past TWW alpha/beta. It certainly wouldn’t have been constantly reiterated multiple times that it will indeed encompass every rep in the game in time and then be updated to include Shadowlands.

If the perogative had changed to just Renown reps, they would have said so by now.

Is anyone else taking the portals back from doing Endeavor stuff at the remote locations like Mechagon, the caverns, etc… only to realize it dropped you in a random neighborhood and not your own?

I’ve seen reports of that happening with the SW/Org portals.

Did they stealth in a way to visit other neighborhoods?

It’s entirely random, no control.

I still say we need “dial a destination” on all portals that can go more than one place.

I took an alt out to Forbidden Reach to test it, and yes, it sent me back to a different neighborhood. My house is in Rage Sun Bay, but the portal took me to High Summer Rest.

edit: I then took the portal from there to Netherstorm, and there was no portal to take me back to the neighborhood at all.
