Housing BluePrint System concerns

Why would someone give gold to obtain a code for that person’s house? This makes no sense to me. It could go both ways, the person could demand to receive the import code before payment, and then just not pay, but at the same time, why are people even doing this at all for in game housing?

I guess this issue won’t be relevant to me in any capacity. However, we could just allow people or friends to do these things for us as suggested, but I don’t see why anyone needs gold for something so simple.

Crazy concept but if you read the entire thread, you’d know that there are people who pay for these services in other games because they can’t be bothered to do it. They don’t care. They just want it done for them.

If anything i think it will be banned or heavily managed in chat. The codes if anything will probably be shared for contests, online forum groups etc.
They will probably just change the warnings to include this new form of possible scams. Since they already have warnigns for all the other forms of scams.

Personally, if you’re sending someone that’s not an alt or a long time guildy gold, i would question why. Since I think paying for carries is cheap and defeats the purpose of playing the game.

I’m sorry what? What does this have to do with people building for you in Housing??

I think messing with permissions with guests will just be a bad idea cause people might have forgotten the runescape falador massacre, but I have not.

Think the AH/vendor idea I’ve seen some people mention works better.

I agree, as I said before, however I don’t play Runescape. May I ask what happened?

Every other game with housing has a market for decorating.

Literally.

So yeah, there’ll be one here, too.

They wouldn’t. We don’t give people gold for talent builds or transmog outfits. These blueprints aren’t any different.

There was no market for decorating in Rift. There isn’t one in ESO or SWTOR. Nor is there one in Palia. There also wasn’t one in Wildstar.

And you can’t decorate someone’s house in WoW, as there are no permissions to do it.

So… :dracthyr_shrug:

Someone hosted a party for being the first person to reach Construction level 99. Think it was getting really crowded and laggy, so he kicked everyone out. But then there’s this combat ring feature where people could duel/pvp in the house, and it somehow caused a bug and all the players started killing each other in the city. Some people were screaming about banking your items so you don’t lose them and it was a mess and a historical gaming moment.

It happened on 6/6/6 (that is 2006) as well :skull:

This is why I mentioned the decorator role lmao I mean not for THIS specific reason but because people tend to grief and I KNOW blizzard has talked about preventing griefing so I’m sure they wouldn’t be opposed to a system where players can higher a decorator.

The worst we had in SWTOR was people creating guilds for ships, encouraging members to donate decos and unlock rooms… and then the guild lead would kick everyone out and sell the guild for a fully unlocked guild ship.

I got screwed like that once. So I stuck to my personal Strongholds after that. lol

Oof that’s painful

Yep. I was out millions of credits, because it cost to donate decos. And a boatload of time and even more credits for the unlocks.

If this has happened to you, how are you not grasping nor for a safe system for paying for a service??? How many times do people have to say “Yes there will be people paying for this service” so you understand we are saying there is no doubt 100% there will be a market whether you engage with it or not?

Because that was a guild ship with permissions for guild members to donate and decorate. This is not at all the same. There is no paid service. This is just sharing like we do with talents and outfits.

No matter how many times you shout it at the wind… it doesn’t make it factual. lol

We have no details on anything. A comment was mentioned in an interview about blueprints to share like we do with talents or outfits. There is no decorator role. There is no “market.”

There also isn’t a “we.” It’s you who came up with this precedent that doesn’t exist.

There IS a market because people IN THIS THREAD have told you that other games like FF14 who are in the SAME GENRE have a market. Many people here have told you this market WILL exist. I literally have said several times in this thread alone that my own friends have already offered for my services. So again. YOU are wrong.

There is no market in SWTOR, ESO, Rift and there wasn’t one in Wildstar either.

This is not Final Fantasy housing.

No… you made it up and a few others jumped on the uninformed bandwagon.

Grats. Maybe wait until they explain how it’ll work before you start milking your friends for gold, because this wasn’t touted as how you’re trying to make it out to be and we have zero in depth details.

You don’t even know how it’ll work.

…It’s like talking to a brick wall. Can you go troll someone else’s thread? You’re literally just here for no reason other than negativity. I’m flagging you as trolling. I can’t tolerate you anymore.

I think the thing is you’re talking about a hypothetical situation that could happen (I mean there’s always a risk) and Sendryn is saying wait for the information first about the feature to know for sure if it would happen that way

Yes. In fact there was.
