[Hotfixed]Really?! Quests for Torn Page of "Fear and Flesh"

People were saying how fun they were a week ago and that they wish they could run them constantly. Do you mean you want to do one run and be finished now?

The forum is made up of many different people with different thoughts, desires, etc.

I know that, you missed something in my post.

I guess I have then.

Ok guys, we need to go through this again.

All caps in the game are essentially no-lifer protection. Without the, then no-lifers would grind through any content and then come to the forums to QQ about there being nothing to do.

There’s no way to stop the QQ, so Blizz just gets to pick the WQ that it gets: you can whine that you can’t no life, or you can whine that you no-lifed and have nothing to do.

(My suspicion isn’t that the ‘can’t no-life QQ’ option results in people staying subscribed longer to level up their necks/cloaks/etc. than would the ‘no-life/no content QQ’ option would.

Why stop there? I mean, there’ll be another expansion after Shadowlands where all the gear you ‘earned’ will be replaced as you level.

They do it to force the use of the vessels. There is a cap of 5 vessels and 25000 CV. The forced use of vessels keeps people doing dailies and minor visions rather than allowing people to hoard the vessels and skip the daily chores.

Woot! I got it now I had no problem getting two pages with the same vessel, but had thrall down to a sliver and ran out of sanity… lols…

Because maybe in Shadowlands the time-investment will be worth the payoff. It’s not at the moment. Maybe if the Cloak was around for 1 year or more, but not as it stands. Plus there’s the whole pay to win aspect of buying Corruptforged gear off the AH.

“Buy a WoW Token! If you buy 20, you too can have the Infinite Star Corruption!”

Yeah no. Screw that.

Pretty much. At least in terms of the main objectives.

I haven’t looked at any guide or similar but from what others have said, there are several side objectives for mounts, or pets? Plus off mementos along with better geardrops

But for the main objective of leveling the cloak, this seems to be all that there is to it.

NP.

You say that now. Have a feeling this won’t last.

You sure about that?

No-one I’ve talked to or I myself have ever gotten more than two per run, independent of areas cleared(2 or more that is).

Never said this myself. The Visions themselves are okay but, nothing mind-blowing.

This topic has nothing to do with no-lifer grinds.

We still have the time-gating on getting just 1 cloak upgrade per week.
If we could get that upgrade in fewer Vision clears, this would not change that fact. But it would make the main objective feel more rewarding if we manage to do more in one run/vision.

Sorry to hear that.

How you fight your way through the vision has a massive impact on the amount of sanity lost overall.

Examples:
Don’t stand in things that drain sanity.
Don’t allow mobs(dominators etc) to channel their sanity drains.
Optimal use of cds for harder mobs or certain bigger packs of mobs.

And so on.

I’m interested to see what we will get to do with the Legendary-crafting based on Thorgast runs.

Hopefully they decide to make the main objectives be more rewarding the more you manage to go through(even if we have some sort of weekly time-gating).

We’ll see about that.

There is definitely that. Honestly I wish Blizzard would just put out content they were confident with and trusted that people would play them just because they want to.

If it’s not some peoples cup of tea they shouldn’t feel forced to grind it and being able to complete the cloak upgrades quicker would help with that.
The more you make people feel obligated to do something, the more you make people believe it is not their choice, the more you make it feel like a chore.

Heck, since not having to do islands each week (which I might add I deliberately didn’t do) I’m now enjoying them.
I know I don’t have to do them because the end rewards for AP aren’t that great, and there is more available AP sources from bonus objectives and rares in assaults now, but getting a little boost towards 75 felt fun and rewarding these past two weeks. Simply because it didn’t feel like the only way to get the AP and that I had to do it.

Blizzard never felt the need to make people obligated to do specific content, nor did theu feel the need to coerce them to do it with ridiculously good rewards. The content stood up on it’s own and Blizzard trusted in that.
I miss those good old days where Blizzard was confident in what they delivered.

More of that please. Yes!

Yeah.

By all means, keep the time-gating concept for these main objectives.
But allow for a bit of leeway in terms of player choices as well as room for players to improve in.

As with the Visions currently.

The design should encourage players to want to push for the full clear even for the main objective. Not just for side objectives and bonuses.

The weekly goal is still the same. 1 upgrade per week.

I still don’t enjoy doing them. But I very much prefer the approach to a system that includes something like an AP-grind to be tied to more types of content, not just a single one.
Combined with how other types of content(like M+) in BfA that weren’t worth doing for the AP at all really.

It’s Feb. Slands likely won’t be out for another 6-10 months. That’s longer than the gap between say Uldir and BoD, or BoD and EP, or EP and Nyolatha. With your attitude why even bother with that stuff? Just hit 120 and unsub until the last patch introduced catch-up gear.

If a piece of gear you won’t replace until late in the levelling process of Slands isn’t worth the effort of maybe a couple of hours a week then I don’t really know what to say.

As for buying corruption gear, that’s a player choice. If you want to spend 2 million gold or more on 1 piece of gear or $200 on tokens then go for it. It won’t make the rest of your gear good, and it won’t make you a good player. People still won’t take you into a raid or higher M+ just with that 1 item.

For the people who didn’t realise it was capped at 2 pages per run, again that’s on you. Wowhead has been posting that information for months now (as have other 3rd party sites). And before you say “I shouldn’t have to check a website to know what’s going on” that’s how WoW has been for the majority of its life.

Welcome to the time played analyst report metric.

Please check back with the OP.

I did not create this thread because I’m angry that they did not tell us about the restrictions/limitations.

I created it as a form of feedback for something that can improve the gameplay experience for us, or, part of it I should say.

Ah your just another White Knight. I assumed so at first, but thank you for confirming it.

If you wanted to do three runs of two you would be fully able to even if you could do two runs of three…

Fair point, they should update the text of the pages at-least.

I was so disappointed I only got 2 pages for clearing 3 bonus objectives. My first time clearing more than 2 so I was really proud of myself, but seeing I wasn’t properly rewarded for the extra work? Nah, I’ll stick to 2 bonus’ per run now. I can’t see any real point pushing any further than that.

At this stage, sadly not no.

As Mementos only really benefit us in the Vision runs themselves.
