Cosmetic items should drop from LFR bosses as well, separating the ilvl needs from the mog needs.
No reason we should debate who has more need for the item when there’s a simple solution directly in front of us.

No, just revert to their original stated plan for the GL need rules.
Does the A stand for almighty??
actual
It’s not too late to change your mind. Almighty gives it a nice pop.
I also think the LFR color is pretty tight this time around but no, you shouldn’t be able to roll need for purely cosmetic reasons over someone who needs it as an actual upgrade.
Should just have a Tmog loot table, you could click button before LFR starts that says “I’m just here for the Tmog” or whatever.
I can’t - that’s the point
The thread was started by a guy who queued for LFR but couldn’t need on the item he wanted for transmog because he already had the same item at a higher ilvl from a raid of a higher difficulty.
This was one of the restrictions on need rolling they told us were going to be implemented. Some of them didn’t make it to live.
Nobody in here is talking about mythic raid loot.
Could one, if they were so inclined, build a set of gear out of world quests, m0, what have you, and put their real gear in the bank and be able to roll need in lfr? Id never do it and obviously dont think its realistically going to be a thing, but this thread put the idea in my mind lol.
No, I’m fairly certain it checks for items not equipped (ie. In bank or bags)
Makes sense. Just a random idea that occurred lol
Don’t confuse your opinion with fact chief.
I mean, you could just run LFR, and only LFR, and get it through the vault, screwing yourself out of any meaningful progression on your character for an appearance lol
or wait 2 expansions and farm it… really crap options both ways. The only reason I ran LFR was for appearances. Even running the raid on my main, in 3 modes I get 0 loot now (for a month wtf). I hate this loot system so much.
My evoker alt just walked away from LFR tonight with 6 upgrades. I dunno, maybe the game is saying retire my hunter, of 18 years, and go with an evoker now.
has nothing to do with my opinion. it’s how the game works rn.
chief.
No. It’s your opinion, and it’s not shared by everyone. But that’s ok. Instead of bringing our raid geared chars to lfr to carry, we will just play undergeared alts, sit back and get our mogs that way. does not matter to us at all, just makes it take longer for you.
if you say so
the item will still go the the person its an upgrade for and youll be stuck rolling greed.
that’s why it’s not my opinion - it’s the game’s rules.
but hey you keep thinking whatever you want i couldnt care less.
Are you trying to be intentionally obtuse?
you write this, which is obvious and then state that “nobody is takling about mythic loot”, which is self explanatory since there is no higher difficulty than mythic. Are you intentionally forgetting that there are two difficulty levels in between?
The catalyst will be how you obtain the raid appearances.
Once Valor is uncapped, shove a low piece of gear equivalent to LFR’s item level into the catalyst, then boost it to your desired tier appearance.
lmao.
You’d have to level a new alt and gear it enough to join lfr and then just afk like the rest of them instead of bringing your main and helping the group finish.
