Player quality has drastically declined & pugging raids has been a terrible experience. GDKPs created more accountability and incentive. If you didn’t show up to play you didn’t get paid. You had to come prepared and know the fights. I’m glad we have a bunch of people playing for the first time but I’m not pugging a 3 hours MC.
I’ve enjoyed some guild raiding but it’s still not a great experience with loot council & dealing with inconsistent rosters constantly.
“GDKPS cause inflation” - Prices are higher than they ever were in 2019 by a considerable amount. The average player can’t afford to “play the game”
GDKPs also created much more flexibility with raid times/days. You also didn’t have to worry about people leaving early cuz they lose their cut. SR pugs have just been terribly slow or downright bad.
Call me elitist but I personally feel GDKPs created a competitive environment for the better. There’s a reason everyone was doing GDKPs, it’s because the majority wanted to. Just one mans opinion now playing classic for the 3rd time having raided on every single class, most thru Naxx/KT.

Most people agree with you on that and that’s why forums are full of posts about bringing back gdkp’s.
Just need to get rid of some of these troll accounts that derail threads so players can voice there feedback without trash trying to talk.

I’m not saying don’t let people have loot councils, SRs, DKP etc, I’m just saying let us play the game the way we want to play it is all. Let the community decide. I like both, but not for every single toon I play.

the problem is that gdkp becomes the dominant loot system and replaces pugs pretty much as a whole.
its not so much a matter of “let us play the way we want” anymore when people who prefer to not have guilds no longer have access to pugging because its been replaced by gdkp. essentially it turns your argument into “you have to play the game how we say”

I’m having the opposite experience.
Can pug a raid I want to whenever, without having to show gold.
My guild is healthy and strong.
Please ban gdkps on every version and make wow great again

Uhhh GDKP is a PUG loot system, also the reason they take over is because everyone gets something out of them. Only griefers or people looking to be carried dont have access to them.

Read my message where I said my guild is going strong, no MT warriors leaving once geared to chase rmt.
If I want to do a pug MC, I can join one at any time of the day without having to show 100k gold in trade or supporting rmt by carrying.
