Bot farms are terrible its how you get your customers banned.
Those ban waves you see are people buying off g2g.
You wont ever fully remove rmt, no one is that stupid.
Would take time to build it up. Probably isn’t as profitable since you can’t hire people from outside the US to run it for you for literally pennies.
It’s a little different when the national minimum wage cost of 1 or 2 people sitting there watching them to make sure they don’t get stuck/banned/handle trades/mail eats into the entirety of your profits. Especially when the US minimum wage doesn’t really even cover cost of living.

Profit margins are so small you want to keep labor as low as possible.
Its why these countries are being used.
Still have to manage bots, and pay subs, and handle the transactions which means you need actual people doing it. Big enough operation to actually make profit and that’s a lot of extra hands. There’s not enough profit in it with NA costs of living.
Even worse, if you do it with bots, you risk your customers getting banned etc. You don’t make enough to pay someone even minimum wage to farm gold all day in NA. The profit margins would be too thin, so you’d have to bot, and then you’re not reliable.
That doesnt really mean anything.
The only reason thats possible is because blizzard doesnt have gms and relies on automation.
This is why this whole thing is pointless, we can all agree on solutions but the fact is blizzard wont do anything, this is literally a fairy tale.
If you think the gdkp ban did anything to reduce rmt youre wrong.
Like i said it increased it and it isnt by just a small amount, it increased it by 30x.

Again, running your own bots is cheaper than paying people.
The reason HUNKS pay people now is because gdkps were banned and they can no longer launder it through them. So they require other methods.
You can’t region lock and then unban gdkps, as these players would just operate their own bot farms again and launder that botted gold through gdkps.
It takes like 30 seconds to think about how much gold you’d actually need to generate, how many people it would take to farm it legitimately, and how much that would cost on NA wages to realize it’s not feasible. So you’d have to run a bot farm. But then you’d just get all your customers banned. Even if you just had like 1 guy paid for monitoring your bot farm it’s still probably too much into your profits.

Removing server gold transfers to stop those players laundering botted gold was also good
I’m keen for them to continue to make it harder to launder / sell gold as you’ll never stop rats being rats
G2g is literally a middle man for gold sellers.
They take a cut and connect buys and sellers to 1 place.

They should just remove the ability for people who don’t live here to play on these servers. Give them their own server. No more masses of bots/gold farmers/sellers on NA because the majority come from outside of NA, suddenly gold isn’t affordable to swipe for anymore.
Sure, some rats will swipe, but people swiping for one-off purchases like mounts because 100g is expensive is very different than people swiping every couple weeks for 1k gold because it’s 10 USD.
