Hot Take: Getting Rid Of GDKPs Was A Mistake (Part 1)

He is incredibly dense, you are wasting your time lol

You’re right, GDKPS are just like picking peaceblooom.

I know and Blizzard knows

Being able to literally buy a full set of raid gear on all your characters with gold is a massive, massive difference in promoting gold buying compared to things like buying an epic mount or buying a few pieces of BOE gear or consumables.

GDKP doesn’t even compare to anything else, except maaaybe boosting (which is also a problem).

More like using the AH.

But more to the point RMT gold is in the game, it’s now been quite well proven it’s not because of GDKP’s. You have RMT gold and so does everyone else unless you have never traded with another player.

It was never just GDKPs. That’s just one motivator for people to buy gold. A big one, mind you, but RMT has existed in WoW long before GDKPs were really ever popular.

I actually have a good raiding guild, top on my sever/faction.

I don’t have trouble finding raids, GDKP or not. I just want fair opportunity for everyone to play the game how they want.

Have you gotten any better at wow yet in the last 24 hrs? Or still a trashcan.

Then you don’t want GDKP because it’s not fair at all. Another low iq opinion.

If you have a good guild, you wouldn’t be in GDKPs unless youre just after a cut of that RMT gold.

Given your credentials its likely you paid your way.

You: “I got boosted in Arena so my opinion in GDKP must be valid”

You’re clearly a garbage player who needs carries and RMT kek

Wait till you find out what finances non gdkp raids

Getting loot appropriate to the amount of time you spend playing the game is very fair

This is not what a GDKP is, this is a dishonest take. You buy gear, the RMT floods in, and GDKP takes over because of all the RMT gold people want to get their hands on.

In no way is there a direct link between time spent and loot acquired, absolutely zero. Genuinely bad take on your part

Its exactly what it is, the more you play and accumulate gold the more gear you can buy.

If you farm more gold you get more gear, I don’t understand how you don’t get this.

Its not a hot take, its the right take. Just a bump comment wake up microsft

The dishonest take is pretending that GDKP’s aren’t killing the same bosses with the same drops as any other raid and that it requires RMT to participate.

The fact 1 person can buy every single piece of gear in the raid (even the stuff he doesn’t want) because of rmt means you have to rmt to compete.

Hence the “arms race” and the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” blizzard stated.

he wrote the logical reasons and ur reply is just crap.

Keep telling everyone you’ve never been in a gdkp discord kekw

When you had a bunch of people saying that they have to RMT to buy consumables for raids, do you really expect us to believe that those same people would have enough gold to get loot from GDKPs without buying the gold?

And if you’re going to say “well GDKP is how they make the gold” so where do the other people get the gold from then? And if they are so undergeared that they need consumables to attend the raid, what are the chances they are kept around if they aren’t paying in?

Good players have never been expected to pay in

Thanks for agreeing with the pro GDKP crowd that the people who RMT will do regardless of whether GDKP is in the game or not.

Which is of course why RMT still runs rampant despite there being no GDKP in anniversary.

they just reap the rewards of the bought gold this is the crux of it. you are to lazy to actually farm you want to do gdkps so you get gold often from gold buyers so you can raid log on all your mains and alts and not have to farm pure lazyness

I never said otherwise. Getting rid of GDKPs is a good thing and put a dent in demand for buying gold, but by itself is not the only driver.
Don’t use the nirvana fallacy please.
