Aggrend has been radio silent on all social media for months.
I don’t think this is quite the “big secret” you seem to think it is. Of course people who enjoy GDKP for the gold farm it can be prefer doing content they enjoy while earning gold, rather than content they don’t enjoy to farm gold.
I’m curious what sort of reason to state such a thing you may think there is…

Go back to posting on your main grey parser instead of your meme hunter you made just to kill people with pets in sod
GDKP discussions are so boring these days…
- If you want GDKP, play on main cluster Era or MoP Classic.
- If you don’t want GDKP, play on Anniversary, SoD, small cluster Era.
It’s really that simple. Time to move on, folks.
*EDIT: This wasn’t a reply to this core post, it was one to another. A mod oved it in. I’m not out here randomly keeping this thread alive haha.
For real though, move on folks! ![]()
What is wrong with making gold off carrying other people so I can buy consumes etc whenever i want without competing with bots?
People will swipe no matter what system we use… its been proven time and time again and the reason why anni economy is so bad.
Quoted for truth
Genuinely, why can’t people spend their gold how they want? I am biased as I am a fan of the GDKP system because I feel the pros outweigh the cons and is the superior raid loot distribution method. I am inviting opposing views to perhaps convince me otherwise, but I will briefly outline the pros/cons for me with GDKP’s.
Pros: (to name a few)
- More Alt Friendly
- Can get right into raids at max level
- Personally, more community involvement for me. More raids, more players, etc
- More gold for raid consumes/other endeavors
- Less botting/RMT because players get gold from raids, no need to swipe.
- On average better players in the raids/Stronger Vetting Process (Poor performers not invited/no cut, etc.)
- Consolation Prizes (Gold)
- Removes RNG element when obtaining loot
- More flexible raiding schedule
- 1-2 people don’t “win” when a hr drops / the entire raid “wins” when a good item drops. ALL loot is exciting
Cons:
- No need for a guild
- More discord driven
- Truthfully can’t think of others
Again, these are my opinions and I am open to hearing opposing view points. With only the weekly guild run available and the only other options for alts is very toxic “Everything good HR” runs where performance doesn’t really matter. I don’t want to rant too much but with GDKP’s I play wow like 20hrs+ per week, without, it’s like 3-4hrs per week. I know a lot of people say it enhanced gold buying but that is just not true. With or without GDKP is is an issue. Personally, from running GDKP’s I was able to gear out all of my alts in somewhat competitive gear, pay for all of my consumes, and pay for game time. If someone else wants to swipe and spend their disposable income to get the mega bis +1 dps better item who cares? Eventually you can get it cheap too. People now are swiping to afford mongoose potions instead….
Thanks for your opinions on the topic.
They removed GDKP because it incentivized gold buying(Cheating).
RMT(Gold Buying(Cheating)) is against the rules.
There are other things that drive RMT(Gold Buying(Cheating)) that are still part of the game but if GDKP wasn’t a significant driver of RMT(Gold Buying(Cheating)) they wouldn’t have kept the ban in after SoD.
It was done as a test in SoD.
Clearly they saw results they liked.
Thanks for the reply! I’ve noticed the amount of gold buying remains the same and in some cases worse. Do you think banning GDKP’s and not gold buying is having the intended effect blizzard wanted?
If it wasn’t haven’t the intended affect the ban wouldn’t still be in effect.
RMT(Gold Buying(Cheating)) has always been banned.
The problem is that they rely on player reports to combat most of the issues we have.
There is a level of automation but I don’t think it catches people who are getting 1000-2000 gold.
From my POV the new landscape has a lot of animosity over loot and the same amount of swiping. As well as the pug scene being abysmal and old content dying off fast. It’s a shame really but if that’s what Blizzard wants. ![]()
Only for SoD and Anniversary. Not for Era, MoP or any other version.
So, if you like GDKP, play a version that supports it.

That animosity is what lead to people swiping for gold in GDKPs and the proliferation of GDKPs in the first place.
It’s selfishness/loot greed.
"It’s not fair that they get a drop and I get nothing.
"
X to doubt
Anecdotal.
You lost you aren’t getting GDKP back.
You can stop posting diary entries here trying to convince people.
It’s been 2 years and it’s still banned.
BuT eRa Is DeAd BrO
Given how prevalent gold buying is, it makes zero sense to bring back GDKP. Despite what GDKP enjoyers say, there’s without question still a big incentive to buy gold.
Wanna know what solves this problem without introducing more RMT? Something like the reals system from SoD. You can just add in stuff like the crates and/or maybe consumables. There doesn’t necessarily need to be gear, though I don’t think adding tier 1 at this point is a bad idea.

You lost you aren’t getting GDKP back.
you aren’t getting GDKP back
It didn’t go anywhere. GDKP is alive and thriving. Those who dislike it have their own game versions: SoD/Anniversary.
And those who don’t care, don’t care, so who cares anyway?

Yeah it’s banned from Anniversary.
So he lost and isn’t getting it back there.
Thanks for playing.
Thanks for playing.
I don’t really play Anniversary, but having GDKP or not doesn’t particularly impact that decision.
