Hot take: Blizz should remove Versatility from the game

no one wants it or needs it, the damage buff/reduction is so minor other stats just overshadow it

I haven’t liked versatility for a while. Just increase tank survivability to not need it and give PvP a baseline damage reduction. Boom versatility is gone

its not even a tank thing! there are only 4 main stats right now really: crit, mastery, haste and versatility. and most tanks have it ranked at number 3 or 4 in stat priority (the only one that has it ranked at 1 is monk tanks because they REALLY need it because they can’t really take a hit and there mastery isn’t all that great

Agreed, just bring back Vengeance as a mechanic.

remind me not to get into any dungeons or raids with you tanking then lol

I haven’t cared about it since it got added to the game.

Yet my “buff” gives vers, go figure.

I’m relatively new to Guardian, but every guide out there says it’s either slightly behind or slightly ahead of Haste, and both are > Mastery > Crit for tank Druids. Seems Vers isn’t that bad at all, really…so I’m not sure why you’re giving the guy grief.

this right here would solve the long que problems people seem to be having. yes bring back vengeance.

I think the biggest problem is that, as a stat, it’s just boring.

It amounts to just +damage/healing. It also gives DR but that’s barely noticeable on non-tanks which are balanced around getting all the survivability they need from talents + baseline abilities.

It’s basically just primary stat with extra steps. Crit and haste at least have something going on for them with crit providing a chance for big numbers and haste speeding up gameplay.

Mastery is an interesting stat on paper, but for many specs it falls short and is just boring. My paladin just gets +X% holy damage which again: Is basically just doing the same thing my primary stat is doing, except now with limitations.

honestly I was mostly busting his balls cuz I’m sassy but with druids it really doesn’t make too much of a difference but I would put the haste ahead for the extra CD bonus to your “oh no” abilities. I think your mastery just gives you extra HP witch is always nice when your tanking so I would say mastery is tied with haste and then vers then crit the biggest bonus for damage taken I seen on vers is like maybe 10% if you you stack nothing but and it lets be honest, end game thats going to make you take like 500 less damage from one attack with you got over 100k HP
