Is anyone else having trouble with the Horsemen pets from Riders of the Apocalypse just running off and attacking things that you aren’t in combat with? It happens to me all the time in the open world and in Delves, and last night it caused a wipe in Grim Batol.

I noticed this in some dungeons yesterday with my horseman doing whatever it wants, hitting random mobs, running off to Narnia, ect… There were also times when my horseman was just standing still doing nothing. Not sure if there is an attack macro like the pets, but he isn’t helping my mediocre dps by sitting there lol
Yeah, it’s been a massive problem since they pull everything. The same problem is occurring with Shadow Priest Void Tendrils since the prepatch, they just attack mobs anywhere. They need to make summons prioritize our main target or at least not aggro out of combat mobs.
This happened to us last night in grim batol. They aggro’d the sleepy pack and nobody was in combat.
i noticed this too in bgs, but i also couldn’t help but get a chuckle out of a deathknight character ignoring orders and doing whatever they want.
The horsemen don’t believe in targeting your target. They would rather run off and waste their DPS on someone you didn’t even know was there.
Is this part of why top frost dks in mythic plus are deathbringer?
I sim way higher in both AOE and St as horseman than deathbringer, and while deathbringer is more on demand damage and less random, overall I think horseman performs better and mostly I choose it for the expanded mobility.
But their weird behavior is a liability sometimes.
I always get a laugh when I see my horseman sprinting away to whoop some poor innocent mob that was minding its now business
It’s even funnier when it’s a player. Just some poor dude leveling in war mode that I haven’t noticed yet, and Nazgrim runs over to delete him.
Yep. Hence I usually used rider hero talent for world content like WQ, World souls, questing etc. For dungeons etc. I prefer no pets haha
It is hilarious, though in delves it’s super annoying lol. I carry invisible pots on purpose and then my horsemen will charge off backwards and grab the ones I skipped. A true death knight doesn’t skip packs I guess hah

Gets even better when they start doing crap like charging through walls to get to mobs you shouldn’t even be able to access yet.
No, the top frost DKs are all Breath of Sindragosa, which uses Deathbringer and sucks really hard with Riders.
