Why should the factions be numerically balanced? As long as there are opportunities for players on both sides (which there are), who cares about the exact numbers?
Alliance outnumbered Horde for 14 years and nobody ever had a problem with it. Then in BfA, for the first time ever, there are slightly more Horde players than Alliance, and people act like it’s the end of the world.
The real problem is the declining overall playerbase, which has a much bigger impact on everyone’s ability to find others to play with.
Please then tell me how that possible way to balance it is? They could take every racial in the game and give the exact same ones to a different Horde and Alliance race
Like Orcs and Humans have the same racials Dwarves and Tauren etc but besides that give me one way of how they could possibly balance them out when it’s all the players choices on what they play
Yeah, I tend to go into battlegrounds for fun whether we win or lose, so getting yelled at for being the Horde faction when I’m merc to Alliance is sad because I’m still playing to win just not for Horde at the time.

idk man lately I get really good players from merc mode, most of them are duelist/glad and I’m sitting at 56% winrate with my lock (482ilvl/15% vers)
It was 48% before, but I still want merc mode removed
That’s sensible tbh. Ion said they think it’s ok if globally horde/ally is balanced. But I think now EU is also favoring horde just by looking at pvp numbers.

That could be a bulk of The Alliance population making up that global average if true.
My fix for the imbalance, is one most people disagree with. Keep the factions, but allow any race to choose which faction they want to join. People don’t like it because races are one of the factors that make up a faction identity. However allowing any race to choose their faction will at least stop the excuse of racials being one of the factors of the imbalance, or blizz finally giving a alliance a race that looks cool and tough and have a broken racial.

You can for the horde all day but if there is no alliance the game is dead
You can have cross faction instances without removing PvP or the factions.
ESO is most notable for doing this in a way that works and maintains faction pride.
If they cared they wouldn’t have handled BFA like they did at all.
Legion was already pretty bad and BFA just doubled down on trashing the alliance.
yeah just by looking at hall of fame for nyalotha, you see 40 chinese guilds on alliance leaderboard, also taiwan and the whole OCE community are alliance sided
but we play in US
Would love to have my night elf druid go to horde and have ques. Biggest reason I stayed alliance was night elf druid.
There’s a way to tell if someone is in Merc mode? I have never used it besides once on my Zandalari cus I wanted to try the Kul’tiran haymaker racial to knock people off the Lumber mill in ab lol nobody said a word to me about being in Merc mode maybe I should try playing Merc mode just to see how many ppl call me out lol

Legion was 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999% about the Alliance, the Horde was completely M.I.A. What on earth are you going on about?
I’m talking about population, Legion was already pretty bad with most raiders etc… being horde.
Most raiders have been Horde since Burning Crusade.
Not the point the population is now at all.
