because defense is the winning strategy, and all it takes for a turtle to form is one player capping the only alliance graveyard.
because they care about FpH more than HpH
(Fun per Hour)
Actively pvping in a battleground is griefing to you op?
Yeah but the best honor is a quick 15 minute game where both teams get around 4k honor. Just wondering why horde would be forcing 40 minute turtles.
I swear, if there was a vendor that just sold daily honor these players would log-in, buy it, and log off. And that would be their entire Classic experience.
It’s a video game. News flash: some people play to just have fun. People actually might join a bg because they enjoy PvP.
Crazy, right?
Because it’s fun!
because you still get those 15-20 min games with defense.
that IS the winning strategy for horde. we defend FWGY and prevent you from taking our towers and relief hut, meanwhile 30 other horde members are downing LTs and commanders in bunkers, downing balinda, and moving north to take the alliance base.
all this still happens in 15-20 minutes.
turtles happen when someone takes snowfall graveyard, it only takes one person to force a turtle.
forcing a turtle isnt the horde strategy (and they complain about it too), but it happens when alliance lose their only graveyard (snowfall) and respawn right where horde are working to start taking alliance base. when they die, they respawn at stonehearth graveyard (or the cave, depends how soon it starts).
its just a byproduct of the strategy that wins most games.
me personally, i like turtles because i like to pvp. i dont care about honor per hour but pvpers dont really have an effective battleground to do real pvp in.
also, unless youre an alt or a very fresh player to the server, honor doesnt matter most of us.
most of us are R11 already, and next month will make the push to R14, but by that time a better pvp bg will be available so AV will likely go back to those very short matches.
im R10 50% but im not hung up about ranking or how long it takes, becuase i enjoy the pvp aspect of it.
world pvp very fun but is too sporadic and dependent on the other factions players to fight back.
Thank you. This is what I wanted to know.
if you care to prevent a turtle on alliance side, you can focus a few defenders near snowfall (station in field tho, dont stay at snowfall) and gravitate between snowfall graveyard and stonehearth graveyard.
if you can control stonehearth before horde takes stormpike, we will all end up back either in the cave, or at that first gy (iceblood i think its called, near tower point), which is a huge setback in progress.
doing this tho would take a coordinated effort and a willingness to pvp other players who are there to pvp.
Most alliance are on auto pilot while watching netflix. If we get wiped we just afk until its over.
Any game where Ice Dad can come out to play is a great game.
Because I’ve been capped for weeks and just want to pvp
Any horde that cap snowfall gy should be reported for “gameplay sabotage”, “actively blocking team progress”
Just let the automated system sort the trash out. They always know what they’re doing, and the consequences there of. It’s an intentional troll job.
except that its not and this would actually fall under report abuse. too bad blizzard doesnt enforce that tho.
It is literally an option on the report menu. It’s not report abuse, it’s using the system to do what the report system is designed to do… Remove degenerates that are actively sabotaging the game.
its not team sabotage. making false reports is abuse of the report system, that hsould be a bannable offense, but for some reason isnt.
team sabotage would be pulling the druids to intentionally wipe your own faction.
capturing snowfall might feel like sabotage because now you have to spend a few extra minutes pvping. if you dont want pvp dont queue for pvp grounds. pretty simple.
Dying once to druids is 1/20th the inconvenience that capping snowfall is.
Don’t be a degenerate, or enjoy the report system doing it’s job and removing you.
taking snowfall might be inconvenient, yet still isnt team sabotage.
but intentionally pulling the druids to wipe your team is sabotage. it doesnt matter how often it happens or how much less of an inconvenience that is. it was just an example of what team sabotage is.
afking is also team sabotage because it hinders your ability to win. intentionally wiping your group is sabotage for the same reason.
taking snowcall graveyard is not sabotage because it doesnt hinder your ability to win, and horde wins most turtles anyways.
furthermore, ive never once been removed from AV, and i have never seen an afker get removed either that ive reported, so clearly the report system doesnt work.
report all you want, but dont be surprised if you get banned when blizzard decides to arbitrarily start enforcing that.
now im going to make it a point to capture SFGY literally every time i play AV.
enjoy your turtles.
Yeah prime example of the kind of player that should get banned. You know it’s actively hurting your team, and slowing the game down by forcing a turtle, and you’re doing it anyway.
I’d literally rather have a botter on my team, at least they’re just useless rather than actively (and apparently proudly) harmful to the team.
