Horde still needs lumber

Grom literally grumbled that he was placed in tree clearing duty.

Gosh. An extremely high ranking orc thought there might be better things to do with his time. That definitely proves it.

It proves they dont have an inate intinct to want to destroy trees. If they did, it shouldnt matter to a high or low ranking orc.

Being fair Orcs had reasons to fear trees and not want to have anything to do with them even if they did still have an inherent residual compulsion to follow Grond’s directive, given the Botani on Draenor used them as plant zombie slaves. Life as a force on Draenor was just… not nearly as nice as it is on Azeroth with the Titans putting a leash on it.

The Fel horde and Garrosh’s horde did, Shamanism is pretty sustainable by it’s nature so things shouldn’t be that bad. The Undead and Goblins are really the only outliers and Gazlowe will probably put the Bilgewater on a better path than Gallywix did even if it’s still not greenpeace approved.

Thrall needed a lot of wood to make Org, but in his defense the jungle he was planning on working with got poofed out of existance by Admiral Proudmoore’s men. And half of why he sent the warsong out was to put them on time out and keep them from starting any more fights (ironyyyyyyy)

I dont think this is true. The Bleeding Hollow/Bonechewer settled in the middle of a jungle. The aformentioned Shadowmoon, lived in lush Shadowmoon Valley. Sure the Botani were still a danger, but I dont think they were that much of a danger by the time of the formation of the various orc clans. No more then say an Ogre/The wildlife of Tanaan.

That’s like saying people don’t have an innate instinct to eat food because sometimes people skip a meal when they get too busy…

Grom’s pride is more important to him than his basic urges.

If that was my only example, you would have a point. But as I just mentioned we had whole clans live in Jungles/Valley filled with trees with little to no predeliction for deforestation.

That you know of. Who KNOWS how many trees USED to be there before we arrived.

No tree stumps, no signs of deforestation anywhere in Tanaan/Shadowmoon. No lore at all about how the orcs decided to go after trees due to their connection to Grond/fear of Botani?

I would say their current beef with the night elves is due to an actual need for resources/a deep grudge for their initial encounter rather then any inate need to destroy trees. Correlation does not equal causation.

Just open a portal to UA Tanann just before WoD, set up some nets, and butcher whatever primals come through for their wood

As far as the stump argument goes, even the actual ingame lumber mills in EK don’t show many iirc. Usually when you run into one in the wild, the log that with it once formed a tree is lying right beside.

Bruh, a bunch of Botani escaped into kalimdor. Just kill them

That’s no different than making another road of draenei bones.
