omgâŚmy sidesâŚ
Yup. The Horde let the Blood Trolls go out of control (Rastakhan just turned a blind eye to them, pretty much), which eventually gets some of their own Loa corrupted, and of course Zul gets corrupted, too, which leads to other Loa being sacrificed (Rezan and Shadra).
Had Rastakhan handled the Blood Trolls when he should have, a lot of things may have been salvaged. But they also set up Rastakhan as being a dying Troll leader whose people need a better leader, so his death in the upcoming raid can be more of a Horde win than anything else.
Wait wait waitâŚ
When do the Alliance go to investigate Underrot? I missed the story where that happens. No, we go through all of Nazmir, clean up the mess with our insane traitor, and leave. Nothing in our story tells us to go to Underrot. We donât even get the âhuh, letâs check this out laterâ that we got with Kingâs rest. And without Underrot, nothing tells us to go to Uldir.
See? I can even make people laugh when they disagree with me. Itâs a skill.
Well given that Nazmir is in horde territory, yeah that makes sense.
I still wouldnât dismiss what we do though. Itâs a large scale invasion that cripples the Horde and forces Sylvanas into doing something stupid just to get a leg up.
So Brann would see a Giant titan machine and say âNah, gonna leave that one alone.â
Itâs true.
Have a good night!
Horde side questing is depressing af. Everything starts good but then it goes downhill really fast. You keep messing up and losing in all quest zones. Mythrax is released, Taloc is corrupted and awakened (but half damaged), Blood Trolls goes havoc, civil war erupts. Donât get me started on War Campaign quests
(Explains why he starts at 60%). I donât doubt it. Alliance has itâs ups and downs (Stormsong is depressing), but the Jaina stuff was really heartwarming.
Try playing a Night Elf. Once you get out of your starter zone, your questing is literally just losing to the Horde and running away until you reach the safety of the other Alliance races, who help you out and take over for most of South Kalimdor. The biggest quest moments are losing Ashenvale, watching the bomb dropped on Stonetalon, etcetera.
Then, when you finally get to 120, you get to watch the only areas that were still Night Elf left in the game be destroyed or handed over to the Horde along with countless dead and nothing you can do to help any of them.
Then you watch your heroes serve the boob queen for no reason while being told itâs a big victory for you.
I think itâs just that what it means is that maybe, for the âofficial storyâ, we never go to Uldir and Brann never sets foot in the Underrot or Uldir. At least thatâs what Iâm getting from what is said.
Gâhuun is Gâhone, so meh.
Fair. But sometimes got to make some assumptions to fill in some blanks. Underrot has a decent assumption for why we go in. Tell me what reason would the horde have to even do Waycrest Manor lol.
To be honest, Iâd bet that they never do go into Wayrest Manor, âofficiallyâ.
Honestly, I feel like thatâs the same with the Alliance and the Zandalar dungeons in lore. Would make a lot of sense for the Horde to deal with Uldir given the location. But I can come up with a dumb reason to do it for the Alliance. Other dungeons⌠not so much. But hey, itâs a reason. Not a great one, but one regardless. Iâll take what I can get.
Polygon article.
Into the it goes.
No, you are still just as evil as the Alliance thinks you are.
Its like in pretty much any movie with too many bad guys, sometimes they fight each other. It in no way redeems them and they arenât being altruistic, they just want to live to be villains another day. You only fight Ghuun because its what you needed to do to secure allies so that you could continue your reign of terror.

Ahem. The Alliance has Demi gods with plot armor named Jaina, Malfurion, Tyrande and Anduin.
No one has more plot armour than Sylvanas and the Forsaken. No one.

Who lose every time theyâre up against the Horde. Meanwhile the Light and defending your people has been rewritten to be oppressive and totalitarian, while slaughtering innocents, necromancy, and genocide are being rewritten to be noble and upstanding.
Which side gets story choices? Which side gets racial choices? Which side get non-reskinned mounts? Which side get the multi million dollar cinematics? Etcetera?
The Alliance gets better looking buildings, so⌠thatâs something at least.
So much truth Tyriellais. Cataclsym was a bad expansion for the night elves.
In Azshara, the horde have to fight a Night Elf incursion. One of the quests is lighting a Night Elf command building on fire. Night Elves run out (on fire) and the Orc officer in charge says âdonât shoot them, let them burnâ.
Iâm not entirely sure why, but blizzard loves to victimize the Night Elves.
Honestly, it has gotten comically out of hand.
