Horde players: What attracted you to Horde?

Started mid Legion. Had a friend on area-52. Went there. Kinda don’t regret it per say but that’s cause someone who was quitting answered my question for making gold and he said he was paying it forward for when someone helped him many years ago.

Also gave me hundreds of thousands of gold and a guild bank full of legion fish, flasks, herbs etc…

I stayed but actually never enjoyed it.

So perhaps the thread isn’t towards me.

Alliance is the place for me in my opinion. I just post on this horde alt for reasons lol.

Blood elves and the idea of a non boring faction.

Been playing Warcraft since Orcs and Humans in the early 90s. My reason: ORCS

I loved the Horde in Warcraft’s 1 and 2, and I particularity was a fan of their evolution in Warcraft 3. Thrall has always been my Warchief and man I am glad he’s back.

This character was the first character I made on Day 1 back in 2004. I love me my Orcs and Mag’har Orcs

Well. Hm. Server issues aside. I guess I’m just a sucker for the Found Family Trope. A lotta lgbt get the feels with that trope.

I’m almost the exact same, I just started playing later and my first character was a Darkspear

Your post is basically the story of my green life

I was always a fan of the Orcs and I really loved them in WC3 because Blizz made them more Human like then a bunch of mindless monster zombies of the burning Legion. It was a different take on the mythical race and one I liked.

Thrall was such an awesome character as Warchief and with the introduction of Rexxar I became a fan and its why I went Horde. I also like the Trolls and Taurens which made the choice easy for me when World of Warcraft hit the scene.

*Not a strictly Horde player.
But:
I like trolls. That’s really it. I picked the race, not the faction. Same goes for my draenei army.

Nothing really. Going through vanilla, BC, and part of WOTLK on alliance I wanted to see if what things were like on the other side of the fence.

Blizzard favors the Horde so I have switched to the Horde.

all my friends played horde when i joined. after that, just familiarity with he cities, zones, etc.

ive leveled some alliance as well, but it always feels weird.

however i did play alliance in WoD so i dont like the horde garrison.

imho the Alliance story in BFA was significantly better.

I’m not into RP, any story stuff, so couldn’t care less about RP’ing as the good guys.

I like to do mythic raiding and m+ and occasional arenas and rbg’s so it’s a no brainer to pick horde.

I also couldn’t care less about big group wpvp stuff, which is the only content that I can’t find more easily as horde. idk, maybe I’m missing out on the War in WoW, but wpvp justice is just not my thing so I feel like I’m not missing anything.

How did you manage to turn a post whose primary focus was to be proud of being Horde into an Alliance rant?

The truth digs deep.

The salty truth, apparently.

I just wanted everyone to know the real reason why most people play horde. Horde favortism ftw.

No, you wanted to spread your own pessimism into a positive thread because you’re upset that people enjoy playing Horde for other reasons other than your accusations.

Of the statements that I said, which were false? Is this Ion?

We aren’t talking about that. We are talking about how you felt it necessary to bring up your own beefs with the developers in a thread that focused on positivity, inclusion, and personal stories. You’ve really only proven that your personal story is focused on the negatives, and that sucks for you.

Ah, everything I said was true, and because the Devs, who all play horde, have grossly favored the horde the past 10 years, that is the main reason why everyone plays horde.

Nothing like an entire faction more or less, dead for end game content due to Dev bias.

Got it.
