You could also argue that it was an unnecessary risk. She was facing four of the Alliance’s best fighters completely unarmed. For all she knew, they could have been in a blind rage over Teldrasil and had no intention of talking. Jaina could have froze her to her throne (which would have been hella symbolic) and/or Alleria could have put an arrow right between her eyes before any of them said a word.

But they were all under the command of the “boy king”. And she had sent her bow away with Nathanos so she presented herself as an unarmed woman. Sure it was a risk, but she doesn’t hesitate to take calculated risks.
