Horde or Alliance better story?

I actually never knew he was Tirion, I was so surprised holy smokes. I also love the escort quest which requires an actual group and how Taelan was executed in front of his father was really surprising.

I really miss how the game gave us significant events in the lore as quests, now we have depend on books and novels.

Tirion defend Eitrigg btw, in the past and was stripped of his rank.

The troll’s island was taken by the rogue witch doctor, that is the reason they start at orcs and Zenjin village acts a quest for both races.

Funny you mention the Tirion and Eitrigg, because I actually had a wonderful experience doing Tirion’s questline.

I got to the part where you have to dig up Tirion’s fake grave to get Taelan’s toy hammer. I was having a bit of problems soloing that group of dwarven gave robbers that fight you (I’m a priest after all). As I return from my corpse walk, there’s an orc warrior there who points to the grave then to me. We both helped each other finish the quest (a pretty tough battle for us) before riding back to Tirion. On the way, I helped him save a forsaken about to be killed by bats. He had to explain (at least that’s what I think he said) to the forsaken that I was friendly and the forsaken /thanked me. That was probably one of the best experiences I had in classic and how coincidental it was Tirion’s quest, a man shunned from the alliance for helping an orc. This was on a PvP server, he could have killed me if he wanted to.

I was so jazzed by my gnome having a slower walk animation from some bug when helping someone summon to SM that I RP walked from SM to Southshore. Wound up having a gaggle of horde RP walking behind me, was a good laugh. (RPPVP server)

On Stalagg I remember a horde warrior helping me in Un’Goro where the Silithid’s are for a quest, wound up sticking around to help him as well (PVP server) - we went our separate ways, while everyone was warring over Devilsaur above us. This was during the first race to 60.

When vanilla WoW came out, it was technically an incomplete game, as the original intention entailed for the game to happen in 1 piece, with tbc and wrath simply being WoW.

Too much to bite off in one large chunk, so they walled off a part which got made playable and released as vanilla, and some things were not “Finished” some things actually never got finished.

So some quest lines will seem kind of scanty, if you are not familiar with the lore, sometimes you have to go online and refer to warcraft 1 2 and 3 lore to fill in the gaps.

I am not sure about the horde races and classes, but for alliance, the night elf line is largely unfleshed out where as the human and dwarf lines are pretty detailed.

Still, reading the quests can help you figure out where in the lore you are, if you are interested in reading it externally.

The “villains” that the unnamed adventurers are sent to kill have the best stories.

Sometimes, the Unnamed adventurers are the “Villians”

yea i’ve decided to go alli i mean horde side idk i’ve been playing horde for idk how many years now in retail but mainly going alli cause im on a pvp server and played with my friend at launch but i forgot he is alli and im sure come tbc we will play together again cause we can’t make 2 different factions.

he doesn’t want to reroll not sure why it’s not like leveling in classic is hard just time consuming but i mean we have so many toons on retail that too takes time to level and effort.

Cool! Lemme know if I can help you out with anything to support your decision along the way.

yeah PVP servers are great, actually this ganking issue is not very common, only on raid nights, but that’s to be expected. i have had great encounter in AB where I have helped alliances kill the elemental and they helped me kill elementals for my WW axe quest.

That’s quite narrow minded observation about Orc lore coming from a Paladin.
