^^^^ Have to agree with Miriel here,as someone who plays and enjoys the plus sides to both factions [again got friends on both factions] you’re taking this game WAY too seriously,OP. It’s fine to have a faction preference but there’s no need to perceive everything as some kinda personal attack. Not everyone on the horde wanted Sylvanas as a leader or were happy with her decision outside the occasional edgy fan/player who gets their laughs antagonizing non Sylvanas fans. Do you think I wanted to burn the tree? HELL NO I didn’t even think it was happening until I started leveling my dude and game mechanics don’t exactly leave you the option to say no. I couldn’t give the wench the middle finger until at least a patch later by siding with saurfang. AGAIN I play both factions and my biggest problem with the alliance side [ESPECIALLY night elves] is the perpetual victim complex they have that would make even Anita Sarkeesian blush. The kind where they’ll never be happy and feel oppressed until every horde NPC and PC toon are dead, buried and the faction in itself not existing just because our leaders outside of Thrall and Voljin pre-red shirt treatment, were tyrannical pieces of crap with edgelords for fanboys.
I wanna sympathize for some alliance players when they have to take their L’s [even though horde take just as many via vilain bat abuse] and wanna see more alliance races get agency other than humans yet everytime I see these salt mine threads, the more spiteful part likes to come out hoping the salty posters [who aren’t all nightelves but just so happen to consist quite a bit of nightelves] see themselves perpetually stuck as the damsel in distress race for the humans to save because being accosted for faction choice and labeled as evil is a pet peeve. [a minor one mind you]
The Alliance had Orc slaves during MoP.
Some call them “prisoners of War” but let’s be real here, they were used to power Alliance ships during the founding of Pandaria.
Did you break your arms reaching hard enough to somehow find a universe in which enslaving the orcs wasn’t justified, after they attempted genocide on everything on Azeroth that wasn’t big, green, and hopped up on fel magic?
You’re totally right. The Horde questing experience should involve planting trees in Ashenvale as well as picking up garbage on the shores in Azshara and removing the Horde symbol from the landscape.
We, as players, should suffer and pay community service to the purple hippies because of the choices made by the writers of a video game.
Nobody. Not even the most loyal of Sylvanas fanbois deserves to be punished or even mildly inconvenienced in order to in some way atone for the choices made by the writing staff of a vidya game.
They were prisoners found at sea, being taken to Stormwind before the Alliance ran into the mist. They weren’t used to power the ships or any of that. There is nothing stating Alliance had Orc slaves powering our ships. You can’t interject your opinion as a fact because you believe it should be true.
No one won the war.
It was a mutual agreement for peace.
The Horde simply didn’t see any reason to fight any more after Sylvanas bowed out.
Anduin himself said that if they lost that fight it was all over for the Alliance.
The Alliance is in no possition to be making demands. The Horde has the stronger army.
So complaining about a lack of “reparations” which im not even convinced is a thing in this universe, is just kinda dumb.
We should all just be happy that the faction war story is over as it was kinda lame.
The Horde never lost, they had sympathizers in the ranks that helped the Alliance. Without those leaders and rebels the Alliance would be ashes right now. Sorry to bust your bubble, but the Alliance could not do it without their help. Both times!
