I think Ogres would be a mistake. The people asking for them are seemingly a vocal minority or Alliance players advocating for a totally different race to be added to the Alliance and saying the Horde should get Ogres as a counterpart.
Goblins were highly requested because of Warcraft RTS nostalgia too, and they’re a highly unpopular race.
Most players pick eye-candy races. To a lesser extent, the “power fantasy” races like Orcs or Tauren.
I don’t see big, dumb, and fat as a very attractive selling point. And while I personally wouldn’t mind playing an Ogre, they could only be playable if we scaled their size down, which would ruin their “power fantasy” appeal. Why would I want to play a shrimpy Ogre?
I’m all for Mok’nathal though. They’re the right size, have a unique animal husbandry theme, deliver a power-fantasy, and could inherit certain Ogre features like two-heads or horns.
Taunka should be added as an option for Tauren, they have very few face options available and it would add some more diversity to the race other than horns/antlers.
New homogenized starting area and the fact they joined the Horde back in Wrath make it easy enough with not needing to make a new allied race or starting area for them.
Ogres would be awesome but Taunka would be my plea to the mighty Blizzard
There’s no female taunka model, and the male model is outdated and has weird faces.
Besides that, they should totally be playable in some form. They’re already in the Horde. I remember swearing them in. Taunka would be better off as a unique race but that’s unlikely to ever happen, so tauren options are our best shot.
All of the Blizz Devs main horde, of course their is favoritism and they are going to give their faction, horde, the best races, and bunches of other stuff.
This will continue until Blizz has a game director that doesn’t main a horde and doesn’t hate the Alliance.
Ogres have never been on the Horde…Only time they were on the Horde was during Blackhand and Orgrim’s Horde aka the Old Horde. There is no way they will join this new Horde. I don’t know why Horde players try to claim Ogres when Ogres have never really been on the Horde. Your Horde is not the old Horde, therefore the races that were on the old Horde do not belong to you in any way.
