Horde Fans that aren't onboard with Saurfang

Zandalari Paladins are the only good thing to come out of Blizzcon for me. Race changing asap.

For me, today confirms that Blizzard intends to wrap up either WoW or the Wacraft franchise in general in the following final-boss Void expansion, so they're saying bias be damned and finishing the story with the "artistic vision" they want to tell: one of Alliance victory, where they absorb the Horde into them, and "united" they fight the Void to end it all up. This entire expansion is nothing but Horde losses and moral low ground, with no care for half of the playerbase.

Called it, called it, called it... but nooo, I was an hysterical woman that didn“t wait for the story to develop and made me "wrong" back then... how the mighty have fallen, I think I“ve been vindicated as being right.

Next time I“m going to bet in game gold with people trying to "correct" me, I“d have 3 brutosaurs by now had I bet with them...
Not really anything, no, save for WC3 remastered and classic.

I like Saurfang and dislike Sylvanas after she's been struck firmly with the villain bat, but he wants change in the middle of a war and that is something I just cannot jive with, so I'm keeping my pauldrons on. It is my strong opinion that the time for change is after the immediate problem is solved, not during it when orders have to be handed out and actions have to be taken.
I like Saurfang. I also like Sylvanas.
It doesn't matter who we throw off the ship, the ship is sinking.

I called it as a possibility many months ago as well, if you want to dig for it, just sayin'.
I think the Talanji storyline is going to pan out and we get her as the next War Chief with the help of Ghost Vol'jin (Ghostjin?). She and Ghostjin will reveal to the Horde who was really behind Sylvannas becoming War Chief (maybe Knifu?) and she'll have to step down or Talanji will smack her down because the power of Bwonsamdi compels you.

I'm on team Saurfang but then my only other option is an omnicidal maniac.
The issue I have with Saurfang is that its not the impetus of the Horde to reform itself but it requires the wellspring of all morality in Warcraft Anduin. The Horde has no morality, wisdom or ability to self correct on its own... it requires Anduin and the morally superior Alliance.

Sarfang can't just get over his depression and escape on his own. Anduin has to let him out after giving him a speech about how he needs him to stop the meanie head Sylvanas. So I have to choose between Skeletor and a %@*%%**@! who couldn't stomach putting up resistance to Sylvanas.
I actually had a small moment of personal satisfaction - even if it is irrelevant to the outcome.

Anduin and Saurfang crying about Sylvanas is gratifying.

Saurfang says he wanted Anduin to stop her - and Anduin says he can't.

Good to know.

(But the Alliance is winning... They could smash the Horde at Rasta's funeral. maybe this is one of the Boy King's lies?)

Yeah this. This is the only positive thing to come out of Blizzcon for me.

I've said several times that I absolutely love everything about BFA... that is NOT the faction war.

This has been a waste of the South Seas expansion.

I do remember you agreed with me back then... it“s hard not to expect the expected, especially after the expac with the nonexistant Horde.

So much this... but then again a character with an actual pair wouldn“t have needed "wisdom" from High King Wonderboy“s, ergo Horde players would have gotten Anduin-free lore and apparently everybody must love that cancerous disaster... it was a no-no to get an Anduin-free lore experience it seems.
Storywise nothing about WoW made me happy at Blizzcon this year. The new Overwatch hero Ashe was the only thing that put a smile on my face.

Which gives me a new cosplay project to work on.

!@#$ing hell this is exactly my stance on this whole mess. Because there's never been such a narrative as "primitive, savage, monstrous, tribal, uneducated mongrels" being "saved from themselves" by a Glorious Master Ra- er, Alliance, right? That's entirely new ground to tread and plenty of morally %^-*ing gray about such a new and exciting narrative, right?!

I'm now of the opinion that Anduin's presence ruins literally every aspect of the story just by existing and he needs to die immediately after Sylvanas' ousting just so we can get back to having actual characters again

Edit: its only been 35 minutes and I'm already marveling at how mad I got

There's the WC3 remaster. Don't know if that counts, since it's not strictly WoW.
Just give me the ending where Sylvannas and Saurfang work out their differences and brutalize the boy-king's fat !@#$ing chin that doesn't appear in the cinematics.

Maybe make Thrall or Vol'jin a mediator I dunno. Doubt many Saurfang fans were thrilled that it was confirmed that the Alliance let him off with their approval.

Also Malf pulled some severely dishonorable kills in the Darkshore trailer like the grunt getting dragged into dirt hell, but I bet the old orc would find a way to justify it all. Traitor he is...

#RIP.VineOrc #Neverforget #Pro-Fungus
Idk why people expected anything different.

This is who Sylvanas has been since Cata. And the Horde has ALWAYS been about honor before everything else even when it caused them to die. Those never could coexist.

And then we got the 8.1 Urnjin dialogue where we learn he was tricked into putting Sylvanas in power as warchief.

The characters are all acting as they have for years now.

Just curious, for other horde fans that aren't currently onboard with Saurfang in the current plot, was there anything for you really today from Blizzcon?

I'm really looking forward to the portal room.
Btw, as I’ve mentioned before occasionally in discussions about whether Saurfang or Sylvanas is right, whatever Blizz does they are going to make the villain blatantly evil. They are going to leave no doubt who the villain is and the debate won’t be about whose right but about the quality of the writing.

And Sylvanas is holding Xal’atath.
Undead rogue and undead warlocks all make a thread saying how much "horde fans" hate saurfang. Bloodelves chim in to tell them how much they agree.

You're all some doomsayers. This is only a faction of the pain orc players felt having to see garrosh turn from hotheaded bad !@# to "evil bad guy" and you were on board even laughing in our faces while you did it.

Now you're all angry and saying "lol well i can tell they are really trying to make this the end of WoW"
Like ending a mutimillion dollar franchise with a large player base for the sake of story even makes sense. This isnt lord of the rings. and less than 5% of the player base plays the game for lore and story anyways. WoW will wrap up and end when the guilds and esports leave. That's just the truth.

Look at it this way. you play a game like red dead 2 for the story and immersion.
you play WoW for the raiding and the numbers. Like or it or not that's the appeal of this game, This isnt high fantasy simulator. There is no immersion element of this game that isnt player made RP. This is numbers simulator. You could make an untextured cube a raid boss and it wouldnt matter to a lot of people as long as the thing could take damage, give damage and drop loot. Raiding once again is the only appeal to the game. Top raiding guilds arent going to wrap up and call it quits because of story. The game hardly had a story still WoWlk anyways.
I didn't watch blizzcon, but based on what I've read, there was nothing.

Normally I wouldn’t chime in on a thread for Horde players to vent their frustrations. But if you truly don’t care about the story, why are you even here??? If all you are here to do is trash other players on the forum dedicated specifically to people who enjoy talking about the story why the !@#$ should anyone listen to you sad, small, and quite frankly nasty mocking? Get over your own bitter shriveled pride and have empathy for your fellow players who, though they may like something you don’t, doesn’t mean they are somehow more deserving of being mocked.
