Looks like Blizzard reached the goal they set for themselves and enough Horde quit playing the game. WM down to 15% this week.
Yeah but without the free gear the PvE alliance players who flagged for a week to get an advantage in the first week of a new raid are going to stay in carebear mode. Look for this to boomerang back next reset.
As I understand it… it all boils down to the Horde having better racials for either PVP or raiding.

14 years later, no one at Blizzard has thought of mirroring racials yet.
Im sure thats the case for alot but not all players.
But as far as im concerned let people choose their own “racial” out of certain types like how the Loa buffs work for Horde in this expansion.
Like a dps increase or stam or whatever. Call it a blessing or a charm you carry or whatever but they need to be made equal if simply just to stop this perceived (rightly or wrongly) imbalance.
Consider the contrast of merely participating and having a like or dislike for PvP. Given Ion’s LEGAL background, I have to be picky about his choice of words.
He didn’t say that the extra rewards would help make the Alliance like PvP, nor did he say that the Horde who do like PvP should receive extra rewards. So it’s a doubled problem: Alliance getting into the PvP for the wrong reasons and Horde being penalized for the right reasons. The difference of factions shouldn’t matter: it’s a crappy paradigm and I don’t approve of it.
I had high hopes when Brian Holinka left the team. I really thought things were going to get better back then.

well, to be fair, that’s not what he said. what he said was that he wants alliance players to bully horde players into stopping playing one of their features.
