Horde are now the #changes Faction

Normally i don’t reply to people like you because you knowing on fourm to be a troll but here we go… maybe if you didn’t live on these fourms or lvl alts on other servers you would notice

I’m leveling a mage right now. Plenty of groups to be found.

I want changes that balance the game and incentivize alliance pugs to actually queue up and play more. I’m in favor of moving the Horde cave south and fixing the rampant queue dodging issues in WSG.

Why? Because there’s no incentive for alliance to queue in the current AV map. They know they’re going to be put on lockdown and farmed at SH GY then SP GY then their cave.

There’s no shame in sensible changes that help the longevity of the game.

Ahem, hey, trollheim?

Read what he actually said:

“the prevailing wisdom in Vanilla”

He’s not saying it was true, he’s saying that what the player base believed - thats what “prevailing wisdom” means - was that the devs played Alliance, because of the massive changes and buffs that were given to that faction during Vanilla.

Sorry your crap attempt at trolling failed so hard, but you got owned, trollheim.

Seriously, pass the drugs.

PvP healing paladins (which is a prot/healing hybrid) are the best PvP healers by miles.

Ad-hominem is all they have.

the facts aren’t on their side, so its all they’ve got. A vain attempt to demonize you so that people will maybe not notice that you blew their “arguments” to shreds.

Uhh… the queue times now aren’t much different than in Vanilla when X-realm was introduced.

I was there, meng. 40-60 minutes queues for AV on Horde (at least the in Ruin Battlegroup) were quite common.

More edits because it wont let me make more posts:

Problem is this isn’t a map-design problem.

They aren’t losing because of some mythical 5-second advantage on respawns.

There is nothing about the layout of the map that means that the Alliance have no chance to fight back or automatically “puts them on lockdown”.

Nothing.

This is a players-dont-want-to-adapt problem.

Alliance exploited the snot out of AV for weeks.

Horde adapted to strategies that beat the exploit.

Now the exploit is largely closed, and Alliance haven’t adapted.

Thats not a map problem.

Thats a people problem.

Quit whining and adapt. Stop blaming BS that isn’t to blame.

Dont want to get shoved back into Stormpike? Hold Stonehearth. Its not exactly that hard. You can pull the Horde out under the Icewing Bunker archers to help you.

Post on your classic alliance main, otherwise, this looks weird

look out world pvp!

If AV map inst the problem why in tbc the cave was moved back?

Because a ton of people whined.

You know how much difference it made?

Precisely ZERO.

This is a classic toon

I haven’t logged into this character since BC released.

That would be a big negative there my man.
Or it would say WoW Classic beside it.

It may be a retail toon you have not used until recently, but it isnt a classic toon

Your strategy was crying like a little baby until Blizz came to your rescue. So if anything, the lesson there is that Alliance should be complaining considerably more since that’s the most direct route to getting an edge in pvp.

You need to wipe the Horde multiple times to get through the FoS just in order to start assaulting IBGY which is guarded by the heaviest npc density on the map and a tower, as well as a choke point and a gy which allows defenders to flank, and cave rezzers get to it rapidly if it does get taken compared to trying to reach SHGY as Alliance.

In order to start assaulting SHGY, Horde have to- just ride there.

In no other game or sport would anyone look at a situation like that and not come to the obvious conclusion that the game is utterly stacked against the Alliance.

If you really think that you could still win with a balanced map, why are you so terrified of the possibility of one? Because you know if we were switched and we started in the Horde cave and you in the Alliance, you’d be losing all your matches too.

You reroll horde didn’t you? Sound like one of those kinda players that reroll lol. I wish blizzard would post log on fourms because the players that reroll horde and always pick undead are the most toxic people on classic fourms

What are you smoking, lol?

This is nothing like it was in vanilla (or BC, for that matter.) They’ve never artificially added in queue times before.

I’m just going to put this here…

The cave was moved back AFTER the respawn ticket system was introduced and killing Balinda/Galv removed 100 tickets. Then it actually did matter that you could get to Balinda first or defend Galv.

In the current version of AV, Balinda is just 198 honor and a random buff.

The way they play, the way they cry like little babies. Lol they’re peasants. Dirty peasants that dont brush their teeth.

Change my mind.

Full stop. Are we pretending your pugs weren’t complaining about being left in handicapped auto losses because your premades were opening a bunch of fresh games to abandon them?

It wasn’t to prevent premades. It was to prevent you guys from opening up games to be abandoned.
Even if all blizz did was prevent the gates from opening until teams were full. It wouldn’t have fixed what you guys were doing.
You would have continued opening fresh games. Which would have sat there waiting to be filled for the gates to open. So all we would have had was a bunch of games waiting to start.
While your premades kept doing the samething. Opening games and abandoning them.
Keep blaming horde though. Oh and btw. Blizz doesn’t read these forums. All of this crying here for whatever reason is for nothing. But please continue. It’s a slow day.

You won’t agree on a new strat and wind up fighting amongst yourselves. The 7 min zerg is dead. Try something else.

Well. They have options.
Wpvp.
Reroll alliance.
Wait out the queue.
Player choice is important in an mmorpg.

So let’s approach this from a position of honesty.

The way cheaters and people who have unlimited game time exist, and the massive amount of people playing classic means a few things:

This pvp system is going to completely punish any attempt at solo play.

It will always completely punish anyone who can’t sink 10 hours or more into the game daily.

There are literally no alternatives to the system in place and it will only get worse.

Picture this as quicksand. The more you struggle and thrash about, the more screwed you are.

While I definitely appreciate “SCREW HORDE” posts, it definitely ain’t a factional reason for the issues facing the pvp system. It’s that people approach everything in classic from a maximum consumption, scorched earth position.

The retail mentalities (that have evolved over the last 15 years out of necessity) have absolutely made this the most toxic version of any wow experience.
