Yep, “us vs them” is a key selling point of the game.
The only changes that were made aside from the 5 man queue were to fix the ability to exploit the queue system in a way that wasn’t intended nor prevalent in vanilla wow

We had cross realm in Vanilla with Battle Groups, due to the size of the current Classic player base it was deemed unnecessary to split everyone into different Battle Groups and just have 1 instead which makes perfect sense.
The only reason the queue times are so vastly different to the olden days is that the Horde were underpopulated but now with Classic literally everyone went Horde and many did it for PvP reasons so they naturally have horrible queue times now.
Regardless of that, adding a scrambler to the queue system is absolutely not Vanilla nor anything like the original queue system designed and though it was far rarer Alliance AV premades did in fact exist on some Battle groups during the ancient times.
The #changes are screwing everyone involved. For every game that I got steam rolled by some Alliance crew I had at least 5 that weren’t. Trading 20m queue times for 60+ ones but with a 100% win rate isn’t worth. God help these kids who leveled late and need to get AV exalted on Horde, and god help the Alliance who still need to grind the rep because it’s pure unmitigated suffering for all involved now.

Adding a randomizer to the new bg you get when the old one drops only impacts the weird workaround premade.
You knew the horde would have queues when you rolled it thats on you. Speak for yourself. Id much rather there not be premades vs pugs even if the queue doubled. Im not trying to obtain some useless pvp honor rank that was obsolete a dozen years ago and whose gear will be equivalent in raids in a little over a week.
Further, the alliance pugs will be much happier when and if they can get rid of their afkers/bots and have a chance to win. Before they just sat in the cave 10v40 while we stomped them. That wasnt fun for me nor how i want AV to be.
Im not finding your argument for how the current state of pvp is less authentic than when we had the premade cancer. It all seems self serving.
Alliance are the faction that demands we implement changes found in retail but no your right horde is the faction crying for changes.

paladins provide a pve benefit in the form of salv. their pvp benefits pale in comparison to shamans, unless you consider dueling to be the height of pvp.
