Horde already has 70% of the "active" player base

Lol. I’m sure if their racials stay as PTR, 8.1.5 will be dying alliance vs Zandalari Empire :sunny:

I wonder if Blizz has considered just breaking down the barriers and let everyone play together. Would they go that route or let the game die before it actually becomes an option for them?

Blizzard would rather the game die than lose their opportunity to spit on Alliance players.

They already said they are gona make alliance bots so horde can Pseudo pvp still. Thats how dedicated they are to making sure their horde players are taken care of. They will build and program new AI systems to attempt to appease them as actual Alliance languishes and fades into oblivion.

well, the alliance should have surrendered and joined the horde. debate solved.

Problem is the amount of content available not like old expansion giving you motivation to raid and get better item as well as form friendship. The community today not as good as the old wow community 8 years ago when the game was on its peak. Most of my friends that I played with years ago long quit the game. There are so many games out there and wow hasnt really evolve since Wrath of the Lichking got the best of the best expansion in my opinion. Ozzy Osborne and Chuck Norris promoting the game. The absent of raid tier set take away what seperate hardcore to softcore player.

This website is instantly worthless. That is a horrible metric to use for tracking just about anything. 6/8M and 1800? Less than probably 2% of the game population falls into that category.

insta-balance the horde and alliance by removing all elves and putting them in their own faction- a third faction. since the horde has the biggest population represented by belfs, that’ll put them closer to alliance.

Blizzard is working on balance. Once both factions have zero players, they’ll be balanced. Just wait until the end of BfA.

lol here’s my idea

Tyrande decides to break off from the alliance. at the same time, Thalyssra and Lor’themar have a long discussion about Sylvannas’ behavior and decide to leave the horde. When thalyssra hears tyrande has left the alliance, she sends an emissary with an olive branch inviting the night elves to form an elven faction in the nightborne city of suramar. The alliance allow alleria to be entrapped into knifu, essentially sacrificing her for the greater good, causing the void elves to abandon the alliance as well. Upon hearing this, the now 3 elven race faction, invites the void elves.

Tada.

Splitting the player base even further with an already dwindling population is a bad idea. Forcing apart friendships and guilds so they can’t play with each other is even worse. The number of people who only keep playing because all their friends are on… They’d just quit. Three factions is a bad idea in general. Forcing the split among racial lines is even worse.

Just seems to me that dividing the playbase is no longer a viable business model. It worked 10 years ago when the playerbase was at an all time high, but the current playerbase is a far cry from that. I don’t believe the game is dead, but I would gladly group with Alliance players.

somebody do the math. overnight, the elves, with the best city (suramar, split into elven districts), become the biggest population, just in time for intro of zandalari

Actually, if I could still play with my Horde friends I would roll all Alliance toons.

removing faction barriers will do the following:

alliance races, most of whom have bad racials, will be booted from groups and raids for being subpar. will devastate the game. and barring removing faction barriers, zandalari will push horde pop numbers to obscene levels.

elves need their own faction

That’s not an argument to make more faction barriers.

What’s more, racials are better tuned now, and that could be improved upon. If a race is getting kicked because of subpar facials, Blizz can boost that a hell of a lot easier than they can boost an entire faction because they’ve spit on it for a decade.

You don’t get a group because you’re playing a Gnome is not as bad as you don’t get a group because you’re playing Alliance period.

Also, with having the entire player base to group with, it will be easier for even sub par races to find groups.

much better city for elves

i can see it in everquest project 1999 but not in wow. there are people in the horde who will deliberately let you die if you’re playing a blood elf. imagine what they will do if you’re a human or gnome.

Blood Elves make up nearly half of the Horde population, so I’m pretty sure people that toxic and elitist are rather unpopular to group with anyway.
