Hoping for a sense of community

I feel terrible. It wasn’t directed at you or really anyone. It was meant as a general statement. Please accept my apologizes.

Apology accepted. I’m sorry as well if my original post came off as negative, it was not my intention. I will delete the response. All good.

Thank you. Your post didn’t come off negative. It was human error when clicking. I appreciate your understanding! We are all good. I changed it so it didn’t look like I was replying to you.

Asking questions is a great way to engage the beginning of a conversation. By telling someone to goggle it, shuts down the conversation before it could even happen. If you don’t want to engage in the conversation, say nothing and move along with your day. It isn’t always about you.

And then he has to get a fishing license but he doesn’t have any money, so now he’s getting fined and put into the criminal justice system, when all he really wanted was a freaking fish and you had one in your bag. Shame on you sir, shame on you.

Lol! That was great… except i have a limited amount of fish and if they keep taking them all when they can get their own why should I keep supplying them?

Be a bit more understanding. Setting aside “It’s the Internet” for now, consider two scenarios:

1.- “Guys, where is Mankrik’s wife?”
Answer: “Head south on the road, in a hut right over the bridge.”

2.- “Guys, who is this Mankrik I keep hearing about, and what’s this about his wife?”
Answer: “Google it.”

Fair enough, we each have to manage our own fish supply first. In that case, f*** em!

Please never engage in a position of leadership or mentoring IRL.

i recomend the RP server, it might not be the most succesful server, but it generally have the best and most helpfull community… I personaly think its the server that will be most stable population wise, since most just want to play in the rich world wow is…

Actually she is, she’s exactly the type.

Agreed, RCR terrible, layering terrible.

LF Blacksmith/Silver Rod, my mats.

I’m gonna answer every question I see in chat that I can provide good info for just because I want to, but only if I am not totally absorbed in what I am currently doing. I hope other people will do the same.

My bank alt always answers any legitimate questions in chat. Out in the world I also gladly help everyone who needs it, quests or otherwise. I will not, however, explain quest steps in detail as they get much better, more concise information from wowhead.

Yeah, no way I’m doing that. I’ll say something like “go to the area in the north east with the ogres”, but not give coords or whatever. Too much work.

It wont be like it was. It’s not just the game that has changed over the years, its the people.
It wont ever be the same.

Not saying the community is going to be garbage. I’m sure there will be some good beans, just like there are still good beans on normal retail.

Wow. A lot of behavior here is going to be fun to see how Classic treats them.

Because it’s better to offer something than ask for something when approaching strangers. You could offer a joke or some kind words to get a better result.

I generally would answer best I can if I’m passing through the cities.

‘Community’ isn’t being nice to people who ask dumb things in general chat.

Community forms around having to play with/against the same players on the same server everyday for months/years at a time and the friendships and rivalries that form as a result.

Some people in that community are going to be nice and some are going to be rude.

Personally I would be less likely to engage with someone like that because they are showing they are either lazy or don’t know how to help themselves when there is a vast amount of knowledge on almost anything anyone has to ask about Vanilla.
