You are out and about doing your thing and you come across two equally leveled players duking it out in what appears to be a fair fight.
Do you watch from a distance?
Do you hop in for a 2v1?
Do you throw a cc on the enemy faction to give yours an edge?
Do you just throw a subtle heal out to make sure yours wins?
Do you have no clue what a 1v1 is because you’ve only ran around in a group since phase 2 launched?
I go back and forth on this. I like to think I do, but in reality when I’m running around solo I’m like man I need the honor sorry. I typically see this happen with both factions, at least since p2 came out. Pre p2 I definitely watched a lot of 1 v 1’s.
Try being a resto druid and having some rogue or mage come and 2-button away 70% of the honour of your 1 v 1s. I don’t really mind (BGs will be out soon, anyway), but it is a very burst-oriented system.
In fact, people like Crunchy, Rila, Kiba, etc, are basically spec’d and built to steal honour away from the Horde zergs that protect them and allow them to operate. “Oh, there’s a a nice 12 v 6 in favour of my Horde allies. I better jump in and steal 440 of the total honour!” Parasiting is actually a top-tier strategy if you do it correctly. I’m not saying any of those people are bad. In fact, many of the parasites are quite good. I’m just saying that parasiting is quite common and quite effective.
It’s a double edged sword. If you help, you’re double teaming and probably just made some players KoS list. If you don’t, you get hate whispers from your own faction. “THANKS FOR NOT HELPING YOU BIG COWARD LOSER”.
