So if the blue PvP faction sets are at Honored why are Heroic keys still Revered? At this point it is easier to get into Phase 2 Raids with no attunement than do a heroic just to get some badge gear or farm Primal Nethers. This is kinda silly and like you said really undermines the people who have worked hard for honor gear before this change. To do this just for Season 3 when some of the PvE focused players are getting bored and dabbling in PvP and complained enough about honor grind to make you make changes is pretty pathetic tbh

Thank you for making changes. I think most will agree pvp participation needs enticing.
S1 gear has been implemented for honor finally. Cost of pvp gear is high, lowering the rewards pace is very much needed.
If S2 gear is rewarded by old tier raids, why BG at all for S1? (which has only just been implemented).
This one choice seems ridiculous and counters what the other changes solve. Reward participation, don’t skip out on it entirely.

You get more than 150 per BG if people actually participate.
Reducing the barrier to entry for PVP is great. Better late than never. The fact that you announced cost reductions 9 days into the season when people have already bought their gear instead of giving us a heads up so we don’t waste hours farming is pretty bad though.

I’ll be perfectly honest, when I saw these changes my first thought was to quit wow all together. I spent countless hours farming marks and badges in order to seriously compete during season 3 arenas and now, 9 days after I have spent my honor and marks (I was honor capped and 100 of each mark) devs decide to discount the gear. I am ROYALLY PISSED.
Reimburse the ones that actually did the grind or prepare for another mass exodus. Just calling it as I see it.

Sounds great.
Sustain; OCE only Arena servers and ladder.
Improve; connect OCE BG servers to US BG servers so we actually get BGs other than WSG during the weekday/nights.
Fix; create a separate Classic TBC queue function for OCE players to choose to join the first available US + OCE queue or OCE only queue OR prioritise OCE > US BG queues.
Literally having to wait for the corresponding BG weekend to get the marks you need is pretty depressing.

The title only suggested increase in honor rate; not necessarily from BGs. But who knows, maybe there IS an increase to HKs/BG bonus honor too. Given that this came out of nowhere as it is, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just forgot, or didn’t care, to mention it.
Now can we talk about the Season 3 PvP Haste ring and neck?

Is the plan really to add them in midway or late into Season 3?
There’s a lot of positive things to come from these changes but what harm would it cause to communicate the changes you plan to implement prior to their fruition?
Perhaps some of the internal discussions could be filtered down to the playerbase like you promised 2 years ago when you coped all the backlash back then…?
It would appear that a lot of other people have also farmed their backsides off to get these pieces this week only to find out this now…

The writing is on the wall… Communication is all that separates a lot of veterans who have been loyal customers for years from keeping their sub or cancelling it.

to play in season 2 and compete and push for rating? ppl saved up their points and didnt “participate” in season 2 just to get a fresh start in full S2 gear during S3.
if anything this helps out a lot of ppl who were pushed away from the game cus of the grind. (I say this as someone who ranked in classic to R13 and now I don’t have the same time as I did when the pandemic hit)
Great changes but you need to refund badges to people that purchased vindicator’s gear before the update.

Same rate but the gear cost less and you get more honor from multiples sources.

First off , why do you keep making everything easier . What about us who farmed all that crap when it was full price . Just to change it 1 week after . Those kind of change should of been at the start of the season . Thursday jan 27 @ 3 pm . Yall dont care about the playerbase who push harder , instead lets make it easier for everyone else in the middle of nowhere without any mention in advance .
Its nice changes dont get me wrong , it just leaves a bitter taste for us who grinded extra for nothing .
I think the changes are mostly great. I actually like that they decided to increase honor through the quests / turn ins instead of just flat increasing it across the board. Makes it feel worth doing bgs other than AV.
That being said, i dont think s2 gear should be available via tokens yet. That particular change could have wait until next phase imo.
you buy early, you use early, you pay full price. 10 days of usage costs you something
Although I’m salty I spent all my currency when it was full price, I appreciate the changes to honor and pvp gear acquisition to make it easier.
