Being someone who came back at the beginning of the new patch, I will say the pvp gear has actually been beneficial since the conquest cap allows for one piece a week and theres a lot of left over honor. That being said, it seems once ive hit the 1700-1800 mmr the gear disparity really comes into play. Not exactly sure what the reasoning would be to require renown 59 to be able to upgrade honor gear to the max level but it actually would help people get caught up and at least be able to compete
I’m pretty sure the reasoning is to keep raiders from feeling like they have to grind honor to get ahead. That said, 59 is pretty slow. I bet this week would’ve been fine. I think most PvE’rs have already gotten lots of good loot at this point.
Of course they could just make everyone the same pvp ilevel and be done with it, but that would be too easy.
