Hong Kong isn't Blizzard's business

Blizzard has zero authority over what happens between China and Hong Kong. Blizzard neither has a need nor will it be productive for them to take a stance on what is going on over there.

Blizzard is, for all intents and purposes, a Toy Maker. Video games, no matter how expensive or lucrative, are just toys and Blizzard makes and sells them for a living.

China is a sovereign nation, one of the largest economies in the world, and retains a massive military.

Stop putting a level of importance and authority in Blizzard’s hands that they do not have. Regardless of your feelings on the subject of Hong Kong, just know that Blizzard has ZERO control over it. China would crush Blizzard like a bug in every sense of the phrase if Blizzard tried to intervene. I don’t care how “big”, “rich”, or “powerful” you think Blizzard is, they are nothing compared to a major world power.

That being said, Blizzard is NOT obligated to allow their players to turn their gaming events into a political platform. That event was for gaming, not political stumping or protesting. There is a time, place, and venue for that. Gaming events are not in any of those categories.

You’re wasting your time by boycotting Blizzard over something they have no control over. Try to be fair and rational.
