Sure on trash packs, but going oom 30 seconds into a boss fight isn’t a good idea.
That’s why you downrank. Plus, with how well spelladin looks, you’ll have more int/mana.
Vengeance = time to drop a consecrate.

I hear a lot of folks talk about holy paladin in an aggressive pvp role. Is that really more (or as) effective at killing another player than a mostly ret build? What’s going on here?
I’d imagined that the chatter about holy paladins being great in pvp meant that they made great buff/debuff bots in BGs, and that perhaps they were good at winning duels by attrition, slowly grinding other classes down with weak dmg, tankyness & self heals.
Can a holy really consistently burst someone down? If so, why wouldn’t you just play a holy paladin??
With a 33/0/18 build. Landing a stun, judging SoC, popping divine favor and holy shocking someone is usually around 50% of their health in about 2 gcds. That’s a two minute build up for that burst.
and a lucky melee SoC proc to follow up can really put a lot of pressure on someone.
People sleep on Eye for and eye in pvp IMO. But you’re making sacrifices. Imp concentration aura is pretty good and so is the 3% hit you pick up in prot tree, the decreased HoF and BoP and kings.
I rather support harder and pop in periodically to apply additional pressure - especially with a decent team.

So you’re still first and foremost a healer/support caster, but you can hop in and blast someone every once in a while? That sounds kind of fun honestly.

If you have decent spell power, and the zg trinket using righteousness will do just fine and allow to spec into prot more.
Sounds like you really don’t know a lot about how to properly play your class. Consult the pally experts.
It will work pretty good in TBC Classic, but doing it in Classic is a bit of a stretch.
