You dont know the meaning of the words “good tank” from the perspective of a disc priest. They are rare and usually have tanked and timed at least 100 dungeons 15 and above. That is my observation anyhow. And most tanks dont have much experience with mana hungry healers, even then. But a lot depends on the CC and kicks done, to be honest.
As for anyone standing in fire like the two in that video. Any defense of their gameplay or anyone implying that that is a healer fail is an idiot.
The key was like a 10 or something. How can you die in that room even with no healing is beyond me. Those clowns were incompetent and/or total newbies to that dungeon or keys in general. Most likely both.
Like I said, most healers would not have stuck around beyond about two minutes.
We know its beyond you you didnt even know the mechanics of the room till like 30 mins ago
Also I wasn’t looking at their gameplay because they were not the ones talking themselves up on the forums. Also I couldnt have looked at what they were doing because the pov of the video didnt even get into the room until they had died lol.
Im sure they did make mistakes that doesnt mean that you didnt. and my god did you make some mistakes.
Hunters can self heal with the spell “Exhilaration.” They can also cast “Aspect of the Turtle” which negates and reduces damage taken. People can have healing pots on hand. People can also download GTFO which takes less than thirty seconds.
people can also get a heal from the healer. Unless that healer is you apparently.
Also you got logs or a vod you can post to prove they didnt that?
You really expect a hunter to sit in turtle instead of doing dps so you can go from 90 to 100% mana. what a losing attitude. The more you talk the worse I learn you are.
You’ve just finished a boss fight. Chances are they’re all on cooldown. I would never expect dps to keep themselves on any key level. As the designated healer you’re job is to heal the group thru stupid. And you were not there to heal plain and simple.
The “fire” in that room does such a small dmg it’s laughable. What can kill you in that room are the adds that melee’s everyone or the cast the mini-boss does which I won’t expect a pug group to be able to interrupt every single 1. They’re not on voice so you’ll find double up on interrupt. But I bet you didnt even know that the mini-boss does a cast don’t you
EDIT: Oh yea btw there are no “fire” in the room until you’ve killed the adds. So wanna try guess where all the dmg came from while you’re outside the room?
If you cant read messages in chat from the healer then it’s on you.
I sincerely hope that the tank and the two in that group that died first joined more groups where they ignored chat, stood in fire, and made life for the healer a living hell so that it made them rage quit.
A lot who play dps in pugs in the 10-18 or so range and especially on Alliance do little more than press their damage buttons. A lot NEVER decurse when they can–that goes for mages, shamans and druids. Most couldn’t offheal or save themselves with a healing pot if their lives in RL depended on it. The complete and utter lack of skill typically requires a healer with no mana issues like a resto shaman or holy paladin–coincidentally also the healers that pump a ton of damage and do other neat things. In fact most groups these days that list and I refuse to join have so little experience that they need a healer that can carry them–something a disc priest is the least suitable healer for.
I dont know what to tell you bin but you’re part of that group for a reason. The good/decent player move up the ladder while the baddies stay in the same spot
So? who cares? That doesnt mean that sitting and watching them die is a good idea. You made the choice to throw that key be choosing to not even try and help them. You chose that.
no they just are not strong enough to carry you while you are actively griefing their key bu choosing to just not get in combat and do your job.
It’s like a guy on the priest forum said. Disc and holy are bad. Period. And they are bad. Holy is total garbage and I have no idea why anyone would play it.
Disc, on the other hand, scales with the skill of the group. That is, if the group is good, disc is great. If the group is bad, disc is horrible.
The catch for disc is that most dont want priests because
a. Disc is hard and so most dont want to invite them because most disc priests are low skill on a hard healer to master–so why risk it
b. Disc is lumped in together with holy priests, so why invite a priest?
c. Even if the priest is highly skilled, so what? They are not going to pump the damage a resto shaman or holy paladin can pump under ANY circumstances.
most disc priest are low skill. So you agree you’re part of the problem.
Nope not really. You know people will always look at raider IO to check what you’ve done and what you’re class/spec/covenant is right?
Are we back to talking MDI or real world here? Because as I’ve said before I have yet to see a Hpal do mdi dps and I’ve pugged alot. I play w/ a shammy and she doesn’t need to heal me as much but her overall are around 2-3k at most. And I’ve seen disc do way way more.
